Blooming with Kindness
My first time playing in the ColourQ challenge which called for the Stampin' Up colors of Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Early Espresso, and Very Vanilla. I used my new (to me) set of Blooming with Kindness stamped in Espresso and colored in markers. The Vanilla panel was first wheeled with the Very Vintage jumbo wheel in Crumb Cake. Butterfly Wings sizzlits dies in More Amore paper and some Raspberry cardstock to embellish.

I was determined to use one of the new bottlecap embellishments from the SU mini catalog on a card today :) I had to have them and then found myself stumped on just how to go about using them. This is the large one and I added a button from the Artisan Embellishments kit with an added pearl in the center. Ribbon is also from the kit, card base is Baja Breeze, matted with Primrose Petals, image panel is Very Vanilla. Stamp sets used: You Are Loved and Affection Collection. More Amore designer paper and layout is this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

I usually have several books going at once, stashed all over the house and in the car as well. I thought they deserved a better place holder than the scrap of paper or grocery store receipt. LOVE bookmarks and I just don't know where they all disappear to, they're like socks that way.
I used all Stampin' Up supplies for these, Basic Black and Whisper White with the Pleasant Poppies colored in markers. I clear embossed the retired By Definition background stamp all over both of them, I love the printing on that one. One got a bit extra with the narrow black taffeta ribbon. Sentiment is from Fabulous Florets. Read on!
All Dressed Up
What a sweet set this All Dressed Up set is! It comes with matching framelits dies so the possibilities are endless. I used just the sentiment from the set and the dies for the dress and form. Retired Presto Patterns designer paper (a clear embossed white on white design), buckle from the old Pretties embellishments kit filled with Dazzling Diamonds glitter, white grosgrain ribbon, and Tulips embossing folder. Cardstocks: Crumb Cake and Whisper White.

Another new stamp for me is the Pleasant Poppies. Love this one and I think it will get a lot of use. I colored it in markers, used Tea For Two and More Amore designer papers with Pink Piroutte cardstock, Needlepoint Border embossing folder, sketch STB#3 from SeizetheBirthday.blogspot.ca Sentiment is from You Are Loved.
This is an individual stamp currently available through Stampin' Up. It is fairly large and I had a hard time with a layout to fit it properly, I am going to cut off the sentiment and make two stamps out of it which will make it easier for me. Base is Peach Parfait embossed with Swiss Dots folder, Pick Your Poison designer paper (just picked this up in the Clearance Rack section). It's the only thing I could find to match the peach color for my banners. Early Espresso baker's twine also used.

By the Tide
Another new set I was eager to work with is this one called By The Tide. Lots of shore folks to send this to on the East Coast :)
I used Glossy White cardstock and blotted on Tim Holtz alcohol inks in Celery and Stream and went over this with the Silver additive. Embossed the coral in gold, stamped, colored and popped up the fish. Stitched embossed edge folder down the center, the silver designer basics buttons (new in mini catalog) with the Nantucket seal punched out for center with the 3/4" circle. Matted in Indigo with a Whisper White base.
I nearly tackled the poor, hapless UPS delivery guy today when he pulled up to the house with the new SU stuff. I was most anxious to try out the new Swallowtail butterfly stamp. I always regret not getting the Wonderful Wings butterfly set when it was available years ago...
The card base is Crumb Cake with the Very Vintage jumbo wheel in craft white ink. Butterfly is on Glossy White and brayered with Tangerine, sponged with Real Red, and spritzed with some Tattered Angels in Tiger Lily (a glimmer spray). The sentiment is from the retired set Live Your Dream. Any current sentiment can be used in place of this but I love the message of hope and dreams that always come to mind for me when I see a butterfly.

The layout is from the Cardabilities #67 sketch for this week. I used Stampin' Up supplies of Pink Pirouette and Whisper White cardstocks, Doily die with the new Artisan Embellishments kit, retired sentiments from Holiday Best set.

Polka Dot Pinwheels

The small pinwheel is from Sweets for the Sweet, sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes (retired hostess). Brights brads, pewter build a brad for large pinwheel on bottom. Embossing folders: new stitched border in current mini and Cuttlebug polka dots. Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon.

Bee My Honey
How can you not think of using a bee with this new Honeycomb folder :) I used More Mustard, Poppy Parade and Pool Party with the main image on Whisper White. Just Buzzin' By set for bee and honey part of sentiment. The rest was done with the Calendar alpha and number set. Tea For Two designer paper, Nestabilities octagon frame dies, SU pinking hearts border and new stitched border embossing folder. Glittered up the wings with glue and Dazzling Diamonds.
Hearts a Flutter
Inspired by the 3D project in the SU mini catalog. I used Pool Party embossed with Tulips Frame folder. Matted in Whisper White, Vintage Verses thanks stamped in craft white on Basic Black. Hearts a Flutter stamp set in Pool Party, Wisteria, and Primrose with coordinating framelits dies. New metallic buttons with croxhet thread, small hearts are from the three heart punch.
Monday, January 14, 2013
For this week's Mojo Monday sketch I used some of the new products from the Stampin' Up mini catalogs. Tea For Two designer paper with Island Indigo and So Saffron cardstocks, Vanilla taffeta ribbon and new rose ribbon. Sentiment is from the SAB set Vintage Verses.

"Who" Loves You?
We are all Dr. Who fanatics here so I was delighted to see this stamp from Feeling Sentimental in the Sale-a-bration catalog. Looks so much like the Tardis! I used the Tulips frame embossing folder and the new scallop border frame to add some texture on the Whisper White. Matting is Brilliant Blue and colored in pencils and markers. Sentiment is from Occasional Quotes.

Stampin' Up Valentine using Riding Hood Red, Melon Mambo, Primrose Petals, and Very Vanilla cardstock. The banner was made using Warmest of Wishes pennant stamp (retired hostess set), pennant punch and baker's twine. The bird is from Notably Ornate in Pretty in Pink and then kissed with flowered heart in Primrose ink from You Are Loved set (sentiment from same set). I made another similar card using a non SU teddy bear that I colored in various shades of pink in place of the bird.
Tuesday, January 8, 2013
For this week's Mojo Monday 275 sketch I used Stampin' Up supplies of Vanilla, Coral, and Olive cardstocks with Tea For Two designer paper, Secret Garden and Elementary Elegance stamp sets, baker's twine, and Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.

Embellishments Artisan Kit
Another lovely new addition to the mini catalog is the embellishments kit, one of my favorite things offered. The laces are so pretty, and there are buttons, doilies and some "Love tickets". Everything is so delicately feminine and vintage style. Really pretty stuff.
For this wedding, anniversary, or Valentine card I used Very Vanilla embossed with the Tulips frame, inside panel embossed with Vintage Wallpaper. Everything else is from the kit.

This card was inspired by the tag on my Christmas pajamas :)
Stampin' Up supplies: Whisper White and Pink Pirouette cardstocks, embossed background in silver using Elegant wheel, Affection Collection sentiments also silver embossed. Pink ribbon is in the new SU mini. Silver metallic cardstock is non SU as is the scallop heart Nestabilities die.
Friday, January 4, 2013
A clean and simple design that will mail well since it doesn't have any embellishments on it. All Stampin' Up supplies: Whisper White cardstock embossed with Hello, Doily in white. Shaded with Primrose Petals ink and sponge. The heart is on Pink Pirouette with the sentiment from You Are Loved and then cut with the new Hearts a Flutter framelits die.
Wednesday, January 2, 2013
For this week's Mojo Monday sketch. Stampin' Up supplies of new More Amore designer specialty paper. The heart is part of the paper pack, I cut out one in red and the white part is the other side of the same paper for the inner heart. Stamped with Affection Collection sentiment. Pool Party and Pink Pirouette cardstock and Pool Party taffeta ribbon to embellish.
