Easter and Butterflies!

Butterflies are one of my very favorite things to use on a card. This perfect sentiment from The Project Bin goes along so beautifully when making that kind of card. The Project Bin sentiment is from "Kinda Sorta" and is sure to bring cheer! I stamped the sentiment and cut out with label die and added to a butterfly die cut panel (Hero Arts, I think).  The first photo is a less is more, the second is more is more. Colored and cut out butterfly wings and added some floss antennae.

The second card uses the lovely set "Spring Zen". I silver embossed the Cross and sentiment. Colored in the design with watercolor brush pens and then added a layer of glimmer paste evenly over image. Lilac card stock with a sheet of stitched glitter vellum with clear sequins to embellish.

So ready for spring

There has been so much snow here lately and now it is in the less than beautiful stage, black and filled with random dirt and twigs. I felt a sunny spring card was the order of the day. Stampin' Up!'s Daffodil Delight card stock (and ribbon), Pear Pizzazz, and Whisper White. SU embossing folder, colored the flowers with markers, added Easter egg die cut that was backed with a Tim Holtz distress ink swatch from my paper stash, and this lovely sentiment from The Project Bin called Spring Zen.

The Project Bin

I am very happy to be on The Project Bin's design team and will be posting new creations on Tuesdays. Hope you can stop by and check out the cards and projects made with their adorable stamps and some of the best and most versatile sentiments I've seen anywhere. Love them!

The first card uses "Really Hungry". I stamped, colored and then cut out the s'mores and stacked them up. I wanted the card base to look like a s'more also so I used those colors and added some caramel ink "toasting" to the edges. Yum!

The second card uses "Kinda Sorta" and I really love this sentiment. Embossed it on rose red card stock in white powder, embossed heart background with hearts folder, added some scallops with Authentique paper and two different lace heart doilies.

I try to make a few Christmas cards each month throughout the year so December is more filled with family time and baking.
The third card uses "North Pole" and is wonderful for all winter cards and Christmas greetings (tags too!) Blues are a combination of sponged on Tim Holtz blues- Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean, and Broken China on watercolor paper. Stamped a snowflake from one of this sets sentiments in craft white ink.

Kinda Sorta

I kinda sorta love this wonderful sentiment from The Project Bin.
I am so happy to have found another use for the cardboard piece that is included with the Stampin' Up! designer papers. It takes the distress oxide inks so beautifully!! Before this discovery, I have just been using it after running it through the crimper to protect cards for mailing.
The background is done in Tim Holtz distress oxide inks of Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, and Barn Door. Stamped a swirl from Stampin' Up over top, all over. Whisper White card base.

Snow Day/Stamp Day!

Snowy with a chance of stamping! We don't get snow here often but when we do everything comes to a standstill. Totally fine with being home since I have plenty of food, coffee, and toilet paper :)

Getting ready for Valentine's Day by using this adorable new set from The Project Bin called The Gratest. So perfect for all occasion use, friendship, kids, valentines.
Embossed the grater in pewter and colored in with gray marker. Designer paper is retired Stampin' Up! with a kitchen motif that I thought worked really well with this image and theme. Card stock is Soft Sky and sentiment and main image border is a paint chip card.
