Milky Way and Rainbow Birthday

Isn't this little space traveler the cutest? Lots os fun possibilities with this new set called "Milky Way"  by The Project Bin.
I created a galactic background with glossy card stock and black, purple, and ultramarine brushos crystals and water. Stamped stars with silver craft ink. Using the Misti stamp positioner I colored the ufo in various markers, colored in saucer and alien with Copics.

Rainbow are always so cheery, don't you think? I used The Project Bin's adorable sentiment set Birthday Girl  to make this card. Colored sentiment in with various markers to match the little striped paper in the background. Card base is white with Happy Birthday embossing folder. The sentiments here have been my favorite "go to" lately! Click here to see more in the catalog.

Reindeer

For the Jingle Belles challenge of Neutral and Sparkles I went with a VeryVanilla base, white embossed snowflakes on top of card front, vanilla doily and little Sizzix Christmas trees edged with sparkle, and the forest critters (from under the tree) of a deer (Rooftop Reindeer from Hello Bluebird).
I love inspiration challenges!

Seahorsin' Around

Seahorses are so unique and have always intrigued me so I was so happy to see this adorable stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn. I used a tri-fold frame window card with a distress oxide ink (Chipped Sapphire and Salty Ocean) background, seahorses colored with Copics and die cut. Outside front panel was swiped with Crumb Cake (kraft color) ink for a wood look.
This is for the "Little Things" Lawn Fawnatics challenge.

Happy Bastille Day!

I have had this stamp set for years and years and never used it. I really don't even remember where it came from. This was a super simple, less than 10 minute card. I just used every stamp in the set on Old Vintage paper that I got on Amazon.

Virtual Stamp Weekend

It has been Virtual Stamp Night (week) at Splitcoast stampers with the theme of Rock Star. I only got up to the letter K (out of O) but had a great time with the challenges. This card above uses Stampin' Up!'s Up, Up, and Away with Tim Holtz sentiment and distress oxide inks.
This is also for The Library Challenge to be inspired by Jules Verne's "Five Weeks In A Balloon".

Thank you card challenge with Mark's Finest Papers stamps, SU stencil and distress oxides.

Color challenge of pink, red, and purple- Penny Black stamp with watercolor crayons and mister, sentiment unknown.

Simon Says Stamp Gerbera Daisy background stamp colored with the requested colors of tangerine, purple, and moss.

Cloisonne Flower

I like to try working with seasonal stamp sets in ways that will extend it's use beyond that holiday. This set is called Spring Zen by The Project Bin and is a Spring/Easter set. I used the egg and embossed it in pewter and colored with Arteza brush markers. It reminded me a lot of cloisonne and the embossing is prettier in real life. Sometimes it is hard to capture the shine and depth in photographs.

Jolly St. Nick

Well, putting this Santa die together was like neurosurgery or the tiniest little jigsaw puzzle ever made. Maybe after a few I will get better.
I started with Tim Holtz distress oxide inks of Broken China and Chipped Sapphire and it looked icy so that is why I went with a winter card. Embossed this glossy panel with Sizzix 3D Snowflakes folder. Added a sentiment from Lawn Fawn (Believe in Yourself) and embellished with some Stampin' Up! rhinestone snowflake embellishments.

Tropical Frame

I have a few relatives that have birthdays during Christmas week, one on the day before and one on the day after. It's nice to make them feel even more special by sending a card in late June to celebrate the half way mark!
The die cuts are Tim Holtz Sizzix Tropical and the sentiment embossed in gold is from Birthday Girl by The Project Bin.

Be Calm

This is a lovely sentiment of support, perfect for a loved one of mine who is grieving.
The set is from Stampin' Up! and is called Lilypad Lake with matching dies. I don't know what took me so long to pick it up and try it, I really love it.

Lilypad Lake

This uses Stampin' Up!'s Lilypad Lake and coordinating dies. Glossy card stock was brayered with three different Tim Holtz distress oxide inks and then lightly spritzed so they ran and mixed. It looked a bit like Monet's pond so I decided it needed some waterlilies. Made it into a picture with the stitched rectangle die and an acetate sheet.

Gerbera Daisy

This pretty Gerbera Daisy stamp is by Simon Says Stamp and creates a lovely background for any card. I embossed it in white and then shaded it with Tim Holtz distress oxide colors of Fossilzed Amber, Tattered Rose, Ripe Persimmon, and Shabby Shutters. The sentiment is Lawn Fawn "Life Is Good" set, Little rhinestone is from the top of a bottle of Nuvo drops :)
