Birthday Hit

Fun stamp set called Greatest Hits by Sugar Pea Designs. Will be making some more just like this to send in my next batch of Cards For Hospitalized Kids, they need cards for teens also.

Summer VSN

Summer themed Virtual Stamping going on over at Splitcoast in case you are looking for something to do. It's raining here all weekend so there may be a very good chance that I do a lot of the challenges.
The first card was to use a classic rose on your card and this one is from Simon Says Stamp's Be My Valentine card kit. Brilliant Blue, Basic Black, and Night of Navy card stocks, colored roses in with Copic markers, added Nuvo stone drops and Pixie Dust spray for shimmer.
The second card was for cowboy hats and this was the only thing I had, rescued it from my ebay pile. All ingredients are retired Stampin' Up!

Gone Fishing

Combining this pretty fishing lures background by Hero Arts and the perfect sentiment to go with it. Embossed in gold and colored in with markers. Check out the Wednesday challenge at Simon Says Stamp, always fun.

Seashells

On SCS today the challenge was to use surf and sand. I had to add my beach scene to this digital stamp by Alex Syberia, found on Etsy. She has some really cute stuff. Love anything to do with the beach so this one spoke to me. Colored in Prismacolor pencils and added some glass pebbles to embellish.

Van Gogh

Sunflowers always remind me of paintings by Vincent Van Gogh. I thought that this retired Stampin' Up! sentiment from Dreams du jour worked well with the new Celebrate Sunflowers set. Wood panel embossed background on White with some Sahara Sand ink, flowers and leaves were done with various alcohol inks on glossy white paper and fussy cut.

Celebrate Sunflowers

I will be working with this new set all week, trying to come up with as many different designs as I can. I just planted three varieties of sunflowers and one was called Velvet Queen which is a deep red. Really looking forward to seeing that one!
This set is called Celebrate Sunflowers and it looks like I am going to have to order the coordinating die set also, not sure why I didn't do that in the first place. Embossed the flowers in copper and colored in with the regular SU markers using Real Red, Poppy, Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, and Pear Pizzazz. Embossed the sentiment in white detail powder. The flowers were fussy cut and the top one was popped out on dimensional tape.

Gnome Home

Practicing watercoloring with my new Tombow water brush markers and the Stampendous Gnome Home image on watercolor paper. Started with the Secondary and Muted Palette collections of markers and will definitely be getting more. Love these for straight on coloring, blending and watercolor.

Iris

Trying out a new extra large stencil by Crafter's Companion, which comes with three layering stencils. Tim Holtz distress Oxides were used- Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves, and Dusty Concord for the iris. Burlap and Black Soot for the emblem and words. The circles were done with Tattered Rose. Spritzed entire card front with water. Used Nuvo Moonglow embossing glitter paste over circles, sprayed entire front with Pixie Dust spray which is is a super fine glitter mist. Card size is 5 1/2" square.
