You're The Zest

I just discovered that there is a Virtual Stamp Night (mini) challenge going on at Splitcoast Stampers. Just what I need on a quarantined pouring rain day!
The Greetery Lemon Blossom two-step stamping set used on a Whisper White (SU) thick card stock panel that is 5 1/4" square. Colored with many various SU inks, both current and retired. Embellished with some clear sequins. I layered the main panel up on the cardboard that comes in the designer paper pack to give it some solid layering dimension. Never throw anything away, like my parents taught me!

Another recycled object went on this card- the love bug sticker that came on my last The Greetery order. They package everything so prettily there! The VSN challenge was for rainbows so I cut strips of Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes paper for the background and adorned each strip with matching sequins. I love how this turned out!

This was a super simple 10 minute card. Stenciled Peony Bouquet (Simon Says Stamp) on Whisper White 5" square card stock and used a sentiment strip, also from SSS.

And finally, the last of the mini challenges, this one a sketch. Easy with this pretty paper by Craft Consortium called Farm Meadow and the sentiment by The Project Bin "Kinda Sorta". Added gold glitter butterflies to each corner as per the requirements of the layout design.
Have a lovely weekend y'all!

Lemon Blossom

This "Lemon Blossom" stamp set is by The Greetery. I followed the tutorial by Betsy Veldman on YouTube, using distress oxide inks to stamp and watercolor paint with. The Hugs die cut is by Lawn Fawn, the mini sentiment is also from the Lemon Blossom set (I adapted the words to fit what I needed) and the die is from the Easter lily set. I love that it is narrow enough to tuck into the other die cut letter.

  • All of these cards use the Simon Says Stamp "Outline Butterflies background stamp. I love that it is oversized. So many possibilities with this one.

This stamp set and coordinating dies is so cute and so much fun to work with. Great for kid's cards and for anyone who loves the ocean or nautical themes.

Positive Vibes

Sending positive vibes to friends and family during this challenging time is part of how I cope. I feel like I need to help somehow and sending messages of comfort, support, and love is something we all could use right about now. If you know of anyone who really need a little lift, let me know. I would be happy to send them a card.
The designer paper does most of the work on this card. The beautiful sea turtles remind me of Hawaii and I look forward to the time when we can go swimming with them again. The dsp is Deep Sea by Kaisercraft and has some of the prettiest nautical and beach themes in it. The sentiment is by Technique Junkies and the flowers are Timeless Tropical from the 2020 SU mini. Branches are a Martha Stewart punch on tan card stock.

May the Fourth be with you

How could you forget Star Wars Day? We are a total Star Wars and Star Trek household so this fun "holiday" was made for us to celebrate. The cute little Darth Vader stamp and sentiment are from Kindred Stamps. The galactic background is on glossy paper with blue and purple brushos crystals, added some star sequins and mounted to silver foil paper. The scallop die cut is by Stampin' Up! Stitched So Sweetly dies. Love the versatility in this die selection, I use it almost daily.

Peacock Bookmark

This is the last one, really! Next up is Stampin' Up!'s meerkats from the mini, I love those little guys.
Today's challenge at Splitcoast Stampers was for bookmarks. I used a background that was made with Yupo paper and Brushos crystals. This type of paper always seems to work the best for me. I used colors that reminded me of a peacock and I love the way it turned out, a little Monet like.
The die cut bookmark is by Sizzix, called Vintage Elegance, cut with platinum Tim Holtz foil paper. Backed with Indigo card stock by SU and added a tassel.
