Love

I am wrapping up the last of my Valentines for Operation Write Home this morning. They are due by tomorrow but the collection point is just a few towns over so they should make it in time. This is an OWH sketch using Stampin' Up paper (retired), Rose Red and Pool Party cardstocks and a stamp by Rubber Stampede. Squares are 1" x 1".

Flat card

This card today uses all Stampin' Up! supplies and is nice and flat for easy mailing without having to use additional  postage. Cardstocks of Whisper White and Melon Mambo, Elements of Style stamp set and washi tape. I embossed it with the lattice square folder and then ran it through the Big Shot again without the folder to flatten it some. Makes it look like a textured cardstock.
I hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas day yesterday. My only disappointment was the Doctor Who special that I've been waiting forever for, I won't spoil it in case you haven't seen it yet. :)
Have a lovely day, I am off to the Hallmark store to stock up on next year's wrapping paper!

Ornaments and tree

1. Some more handmade glitter ornaments and Martha Stewart pinecone boxes painted and glittered and turned into ornaments.
2. A picture of another one of our Christmas trees this year.

One more project for today! A 10" Styrofoam tree that I wound with garland and trimmed with "lights". So easy.

Sheet Music Ornaments

I have been so busy decorating! The first picture is an ornament made from vintage sheet music sheets and a large crystal bead. Rolled large and small scallops and glued to cardboard circle.
The second picture is the Stampin' Up! Christmas Star embossed in clear on the music, cut out and mounted to Basic Black for some stability. Will run a loop through to hang it.
The third is my bathroom tree with the Enesco Miss Merry Mouse ornaments.
The fourth is my kitchen gingerbread tree.
I'll be back tomorrow with something from the upcoming mini or Saleabration catalog to share.

Glittered Ornament

For this week's Mojo Monday sketch, I used Stampin' Up! retired designer paper and Basic Black and Very Vanilla cardstocks, Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon and silver cording. Ornament is by Our Daily Bread Designs cut out and colored, added Dazzling Diamonds to cover white areas and a Frosted Finishes SU embellishment.

Handmade bow

I made a handmade bow to dress up my purchased Costco wreath using wide fancy Christmas ribbon from Joann's and tied a cluster of jingle bells to the center. Don't forget to mist your fresh wreath once or twice a week to keep it from drying out.

No mess glitter ornaments

The clear glass ornaments were a Goodwill store find at a dollar for a box of 6 so I scooped up all four boxes there. I have a ridiculous supply of different color glitters so I experimented to see which were my favorites for the tree. I'm usually biased toward the reds but all of these are so pretty in real life, it's hard to decide.
Simply coat the inside of the ball with Glitter It glue, swirl to coat well and add lots of glitter, turning as you go to keep it even, dump out excess. Let dry overnight before replacing the hanger. So simple and sparkly!

10 minute snowmen card

I picked up this darling little snowmen embossing folder (by Darice) at Joann's, it makes a super quick start for a card. Added some rhinestone embellishments, SU button and twine, inked edges in Cool Caribbean, and added a strip of glitter tape (American Crafts).

Sweet Friend

For the Sunday sketch at Operation Write Home, I made a valentine using Stampin' Up! supplies. You Are Loved stamp set with retired paper on Real Red cardstock.

Tissue Box Cover

Sorry I haven't posted in about a week, I've been busy decorating for Christmas. Almost done my formal living room tree,  I just have to add the crystals and icicles. The pictures here are my son's Star Wars tree located in his "man cave". The blue lights look so cool at night with the lights out.

The first picture is a tissue box I decorated for the bathroom using gingham wrapping paper and the Scentsational Season and Sweets for the Sweet stamp sets.
