Independence Day, Hip Hip Hooray!

Hip, Hip, Hooray, it's Independence Day! I was born in the historic city of Philadelphia, also the birthplace of our nation's independence. I love going through Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House,  Ben Franklin's museum (not the craft store :) It's a trip worth taking if you ever get the chance. Wishing all of you a beautiful Fourth Of July holiday and many continued blessings for our great country.
The sentiment is from the Birthday Girl set by The Project Bin, I just used the first part of it. The background is a Fireworks stencil by Stampendous with Nuvo glitter paste.

Shellabration

How cute is this turtle from The Project Bin? The stamp set is "Love Your Shellfie" and I made a birthday card that could work for either a child or an adult. Balloon die is from Stampin' Up! and the grass is a Martha Stewart punch with Lawn Fawn paper. Designer papers are a mixture of retired ones from my vast paper collection :)

Mermaid

\
This was made for the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast to honor Julee Tilman. I used Lawn Fawn's Mermaid For You and Sublime stamp sets for this similar shaker card.

Beelated Birthday

What a fun stamp set from The Project Bin! It is called The Gratest and has some unique images and sentiments for all kinds of different occasions. Since I am late more often than not when mailing out my cards this is a great sentiment to have. Sponged the various yellow and gold inks over a hexagon stencil (Tim Holtz) Colored and cut out bees and added glitter to wings and some baker's twine and sequins to embellish.

New Wonders

For the Splitcoast Featured Stamper challenge, I changed Michelle's rose to this little fairy angel and used her colors and basic layout. This is a new hostess et from Stampin' Up! called New Wonders.

Proud Mom

I cannot believe that my son Billy's college graduation is in a couple of months. It feels like yesterday that we were worrying about the very best grade school for him. Savor every moment if you have little ones at home, it goes by in the blink of an eye.
Billy will be graduating from Western Washington University with a major in English with Creative Writing. Western's color is a royal blue so there you go for this card.
Lawn Fawn's "Smart Cookie" set with Tim Holtz/Ranger foil sheet and sentiment. The layout is for the Case This Sketch #325 challenge found below.
