Vintage Roses

It's Honey Bee Stamps week here at my house. This is the Bold Backgrounds Vintage Roses and it is fairly easy to assemble using the layering guide provided on their website.

More Mailbox

The Honey Bee Stamps Vintage Mailbox is slightly addicting, it goes together so easily. I used the Simply Spring paper and also the Vintage Roses, Sweetheart Roses, and Mini Postcard dies.

I followed Kristie Marcotte's wonderful Youtube tutorial for making this Honey Bee Stamps Vintage Mailbox with Vintage Roses dies so I could familiarize myself with these lovely dies.

Tim Holtz Easter

I am a lover of all things Tim Holtz, especially the dies (and the inks, papers, stamps, ephemera, etc.). Here are two cards I made for spring and Easter.

Cherry Blossoms

I was so thrilled to have won the March Card Kit from Hero Arts. It is so awesome with stamps, dies, transfers, ink pads, and sweet little pearlized gems in pink shades. The Japanese mountains, flowers, and scenes in this are SO lovely.

All supplies here are from the kit, the card stock is from Stampin' Up!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! I hope your day is lovely.

This is Mr. Rabbit, an awesome stamp set from Tim Holtz that will get lots of use when Easter is over. I stamped and colored him with Lyra colored pencils. The background is distress oxide inks and distress spray with some Brushos color crystals. I fussy cut the rabbit and adhered him to the card base.

Darcie's

Time for another Simon Says Stamp challenge, this one is Easter Spring, found HERE. I used Darcie's Heart and Home stamps and some Bo Bunny paper for a flat mailable card.

Peeps

Peeps stamp set and stencil are Scrapbook.com exclusives and very versatile. Lots of fun stamps and sentiments in the set. The die cuts are must haves!
I think Peeps are a food group to go on the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge for Food Or Drink.

Authentique Jubilee

One sheet of Authentique "Jubilee" paper to create these three with some left to spare for a slimline and a tag, maybe. I loved this paper and was hesitant to cut it up, paper pieced part of it for the rabbit card. The remaining piece (not shown) is the basket weave pattern so I may use that to make some Easter baskets. Honey Bee Lovely Layers "Sweetheart Roses", Tim Holtz "Solos" for bookmark with Worn Wallpaper Scraps. I used an old technique by heating up the organdy ribbon to make it curl and shrink. I always loved doing this!

Carrot Ornament

The wood carrot was covered in papers and added to the card with low tack dimensionals. It can be easily removed and there is a hole at the top to poke through where you can thread some ribbon for hanging it up. Bunnie is by Hello Bluebird, carrots were from Michaels, yellow paper Bo Bunny, carrot papers are retired Stampin' Up! (along with my favorite, Tulip Frame embossing folder).

Meadow Bunnies

I stamped quite a few of these Hello Bluebird "Meadow Bunnies" yesterday and also some Meadow background by Hero Arts (great for creating outdoor scenes). Added some eggs and Nuvo drops "stones" to top one.

Color Burst Flowers

I had so much fun experimenting with this Hero Arts Bold Flowers 4 piece stencil yesterday. I used the main flower part and added cherry pink colour burst crystals and spritzed them with water, dried and then repeated process with leaves in green. Added some HA transfers, gold paste for the flower center stencil, and spritzed everything with some shimmer spray. Gold embossed sentiment from Art Journal Messages set.

Early Easter

I feel that I need to get an early start on my Spring cards, the way time flies these days is unbelievable!

This was already stamped and embossed and was in my spring box from last year, just needed to color it and add some clouds. Simon Says Stamp for the bunny, clouds by Memory Box retired tulip embossing frame by Stampin' Up!.

Round Card

For my weekly Christmas card challenge, theme of round card. Mostly made of holiday paper, a round three layer card fastened loosely with mini brads so it opens and closes easily.

Watercolor Doodle

Well, I doodled, swirled, painted with watercolors, did an iridescent wash in certain segments, zentangled, added some white gel pen dots, finished with shimmer sprays for today's SCS Mixed Media challenge. Just kept adding things and could not stop.

Hearts

Love Is In The Air at Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge! I used distress oxide sprays of Worn Lipstick, Kitsch Flamingo, Wilted Violet, and Speckled Egg for the backgrounds, Honey Bee Stamps Heart Hugs for the otter and heart die cuts, Lawn Fawn sentiment, and Stampin' Up! "Bouquet Of Love" embossing folder and dies.

Acrylic Paint Background

For the backgrounds I used one piece of black card stock and swiped it with a few different colors of Acrylic paints. Cut into 4 and made card fronts with carious embossing folders and inks on top. The copper was a liquid ink and I love the way it has a patina with some color showing through.

Lovebirds

I found a wonderful tutorial by Juliana Michaels on youtube to create these cards using the new From The Vault Tim Holtz Sizzix dies "Lovebirds". I adore these dies and will use them quite often!

Orchid Rose Bouquet

Finally getting to this lovely card kit from Simon Says Stamp, February 2022 😊. I think I was intimidated by the overly large stamp and this is just a portion of it, now I realize that there was nothing to be afraid of! I embossed it in white and colored it in with Copic markers and a watercolor wash for the background. The finished card size is 4 3/4" x 7" and is on water color paper.

Celestial Greetings

Two versions of a card using Hero Arts Circular Grid stamp embossed in white with the Celestial dies. I really, really love this sun.

Heart Pouch

The Lawn Fawn Heart Pouch die set is adorable and super easy to put together. I think I am going to be making quite a few of these but I'm afraid to buy the chocolates too early, I don't know where they disappear to.

For the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge.

Hero Arts Mixed Media 2024

I needed a little creative nudge so I signed up for the Hero Arts Mixed Media class. Had a great time and am doing it all at my own leisure following along on the videos on youtube for participants. I can be a slow stamper so I don't want to get stressed out or hold anyone else up during the live stream, so this option is perfect for me. You can buy the whole bundle for the class at Hero Arts (lots of cool things here). I will be working on some more cards and journal pages, as I was stamping, die cutting, and spraying up some extra bits here and there during the class. This is my effort on the first two projects.

Vintage Tags

Trying some new things in the new year, this one using all Tim Holtz. I have two drawers full of various items that have never been opened, it just seemed too beautiful to use. Papers, ephemera, and all sorts of goodies staring back at me. I found a lovely tutorial on youtube by String & Scissors for using the Worn Wallpaper pack. This paper is so nice, it actually feels like old wallpaper would and all of the patterns are so pretty. The seams of the diamonds are hidden by some thin washi tape.

Box of Chocolates

It was very relaxing assembling all of these chocolates. The dies are small so you want to get them all sorted into the shapes that go together before you start cutting and assembling. Dies are Tim Holtz "True Love Colorize made with an assortment of textured card stocks, red and silver foil stock, glossy accents, and Rock Candy glitter. The silver embossed sentiment is by Fiskars and is called "Lasting Love Quotes".

Birthday Batch

I made a batch of colorful, cheery birthday cards for a card drive. I thought this festive design could be used for all ages. Paper is by American Crafts "Bubbles".
