Winter White

It's hard to photograph an all white card on a gray, rainy day and I think this is a bit prettier in real life. The snow looks a lot whiter too.
The 3D embossing folder is by Crafter's Companion and is called Christmas Village. The wreath is also by them.
The village is by Darice and I added some Nuvo glimmer paste to the windows.

I had so much fun making this card with the Hero Arts monthly November 2019 kit. Just getting around to using it now, for next year!

Scandinavian Sweater

Stampin' Up! Make A Mitten set was embossed in white on Real Red card stock. Made up a sweater pattern and cut out as a template for the sweater design. Background on Whisper White is the SU knit 3D embossing folder, embellished with some sequins. Sentiment is from Hero Arts, I think it was the November 2019 monthly kit.

Valentine Kit

The limited edition Simon Says Stamp Valentines 2020 is really fabulous. So many goodies in this one! I started with the ephemera kit for these cards and they came together quickly. Really love the main stamp set with this kit, lots of roses and sentiments that are great for year round use. This set of cards is for the "love" theme on the Simon Says Stamp blog. Hope you can play along!

More happy hearts day cards!

More valentines with The Project Bin sentiments!

I used the little envelope from The North Pole set to create my background on white card stock, colored background pink and then added a layer of vellum over top since the color was a much hotter pink than I had wanted. Love the softness it adds. The sentiment is from the Really Hungry set.

The second card also uses the Really Hungry set. Love the 'smore from this versatile set!
Paper is retired SU.

Love

Simon Says Stamp Be My Valentine set embossed in white and shaded with Tim Holtz distress oxide inks of Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, and Shabby Shutters. Love die cut on top of a strip of vellum is by Lawn Fawn.

December 26

This is Santa on the beach, the day after Christmas with a sack full of cookies.
The background was easily done with three colors of acrylic paint swiped across the white card stock. Stamped, colored, cut out Santa (Art Impressions- Tropical Christmas) and popped him up on foam tape. Added sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink which is my favorite for sentiments. It stamps darker and more clearly than any of the other inks I have but does not do well with Copic markers. It smears.

Winter Village

Creating a scene was fun and easy to do with the Lawn Fawn Winter Village set and coordinating dies, along with the stitched mountain hillside in the background. I added the silver glitter strip at the bottom for the road, added a white embossed sentiment in Stampin' Up!'s retired Buckeroo Blue. I love this color and am glad that I stockpiled some extra, it's a lovely gray blue.
It feels good to be working on my 2020 Christmas cards this early, I am going to be SO ready for the holidays this coming year.

Scandinavian Season Easel

An easel fold card using the stamp set Scandinavian Season by Sara Davies. This was included with the magazine Simply Cards and Papercraft from the UK. I used one of the sample cards as inspiration, changing it up just a little. Card stock colors of red, gold, and white, sequins, white and gold embossing powders, and foam tape to pop up greeting and bird.

Love and Turtles

I think my mojo may be returning, I had such a dry spell where nothing I did felt right. Dusting off my supplies and getting back into the daily challenges. Will be posting more Stampin' Up! stuff like the old days :)

The first card uses the Lawn Fawn Baaah Humbug set which was really a Christmas set but you can use it for all kinds of occasions. The background was made using Whisper White card stock, a hearts embossing folder by Park Lane, and the Tim Holtz distress oxide ink colors of Barn Door and Victorian Velvet. The sentiment banner is from Stampin' Up!'s Bloomin' Love set. A glitter heart from one of their older punches popped up with a dimensional foam piece.

The second card was for the faux bleach technique (found on SplitcoastStampers tutorials section).
Glossy and Whisper White, Bermuda Bay card stocks. Tim Holtz alcohol inks of Stream, Pool, and Butterscotch for background. Images are from Hero Arts (a retired monthly kit) embossed in clear and then ironed to leave the white outline. Dreaming of swimming with the sea turtles with this one!

Valentines!

My Mom Mom's maiden name was Valentine and I have always loved making valentines for all of the special people in my life, must be in my DNA.

These cards use The Project Bin's lovely sentiment stamps.

The first card uses the heart from Spencer's Set, embossed in white and colored with Copic markers. A portion of the profits from this set will be donated to The Autism Research Institute.

The sentiment from both cards is from the Really Hungry set found below.

Better organization in the new year

Here's to the start of a more organized Christmas for 2020. I had such a time just getting my cards out this year because I didn't finish the inside greetings. I will even have an envelope ready to go with each card this year, filled out with return address and stamping on front and back to make the outside pretty as well.
I plan to be involved in some card challenges to keep me on track, this one is for the fun Jingle Belles inspirational challenges. The prompt was to use some of the packaging from your recently opened presents and I used a leftover tag and some of the fun SU yarn I used for my gifts.
Paper is retired SU and the tag was made using Lawn Fawn For You, Deer set.
