Drunken Gesso Technique

 There is a fun Mixed Media technique at Splitcoast Stampers this week called "drunken gesso" using alcohol inks, gesso, card stock, tin foil, and embossing folders.

Dancin' Reindeer Dies

 Enough of the Christmas cards? I am already starting on the next weekly Christmas Card Challenge 2024 :) The first theme is Red and Gold which is a lovely combination. I am hoping to get at least 5 cards done every week for the card drives for seniors and shut-ins. I got such a late start on everything this year and wished that I could have sent out so many more. All of the new ones will be stamped with greetings on the inside and paired with envelopes, ready to be mailed out! Starting off with such good intentions :)

This reindeer is part of the Dancin' line from Spellbinders, the legs swing back and forth which is super cute.

Peeking Snowman

 This Peeking Snowman die from Hero Arts is a must have! Lots of ways to change it up, it also comes with a top hat. I used some retired SU woodgrain Dsp, Very Vanilla card stock, silver brads for doorknobs, Tim Holtz "Festive Things" dies for wreath.

Crazy Cat

 Cat stamp is by Technique Junkies.

Snoopy Smiles

A special request card for a Snoopy fan. Who doesn't love Snoopy and Woodstock! We looked forward to A Charlie Brow Christmas and The Great Pumpkin every year when we were kids, such lovely memories.

 For a challenge to use greenery I went with Stampin' Up!'s Pretty Pines, Tim Holtz 3d Woodgrain embossing folder, and Happy Christmas sentiment die from Simon Says Stamp. Also for the Die Cuts SSS Monday challenge found HERE.

Hug Blizzard

 A blizzard of hugs, wouldn't that be fun? I combined Stampin' Up! with an Art Impressions snowman, background done with various distress oxide blue inks.

 Adding to my tag stash, they go so quickly! These were pretty easy and fun to color. Stampin' Up!'s Jolly Old St. Nick, I love this old fashioned Santa face. For Simon Says Stamp's Monday "Tag" challenge.

Glittering Gifts

 

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge calls for sparkle, one of my favorite crafty things. I used Simon's "Brilliant Gifts" die with silver stars and glimmer paper, slimline scallop dies, and DCWV "Sparkling Snow" paper.

ALL the books

 Lots of Copic coloring on this Hero Arts Bookcase stamp. Aside from collecting books, I also have quite the Barbie collection and was so thrilled to see her in the bottom portion of this stamp!

 Spellbinders Dancin' Deer is so adorable. Popped up on dimensionals it's legs move from side to side when you tilt it.

Gift Tags

 Starting on the Christmas gift cards. This is an easy card style tag, various sizes, between 2 1/2 or 3", using Craft Consortium "Candy Christmas" paper and toppers.

Peaceful forest

 t's hard to capture all of the shimmer and sparkle in this photo. I used Holly Branch and Snowflurries mica stains, Sparkle texture paste and dabs of Picket Fence distress paint, by #timholtz . Into the Woods 3D embossing folder is by #honeybeestamps and the sentiment is by Stampin' Up!

 The card kit from Hero Arts is fabulous! Lovely dies and stamps make putting a card together so fun and easy.

 An easy embossed card using Honey Bee Stamps 3d embossing folder "Into The Trees".  It's never too early to start making Christmas cards!

 This is for Simon Says Stamp's Monday challenge theme of "Spooky". I used the Halloween Envelopes stamps from Pretty Pink Posh, old retired Stampin' Up! Halloween papers and spider web doily.

 For Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge of anything goes, used their Autumn Cascade stencils and grateful die on a background done with acrylic paint and stenciling in distress oxides.

 A Dia de los Muertos card using Spellbinders "Sugar Skull" dies, Bumblebee card stock, and an unknown designer paper. I stacked all of my papers into decorative boxes so I'm not sure of some of the makers.

 Having lots of fun with the new Waffle Flower kit that includes this stencil, background die and sentiment. Thought I'd try it in some unusual colors.

 I just went for a nice long walk to enjoy the colors of fall. My favorite time of the year! This card uses various alcohol inks and markers for the background along with the new Waffle Flower Fall Leaves background and  Give Thanks dies.

 I love this stencil! Halloween Damask by Simon Says Stamp for the Stencil Fun challenge. The ghosts are Spellbinders dies, not sure of the sentiment.

Tropical Hibiscus

 I made a first anniversary card using the ribbon and wax seal that was part of the wedding invitation. Texture is the gold embossing and seal for the Simon Says Stamp add some texture challenge found HERE.

Background is Stampin' Up! embossed in gold, tropical flowers are by Pretty Pink Posh.

Batty

 Another card with the Simon Says Stamp and Whimsy Stamps Stamptember collaboration. Made a shaker card using a bat die cut background, Lawn Fawn washi tape, sequins, Orchid Opulence card base.

Spooky and Mice

 Loving these sweet little mice trick or treaters from Stamptember's collaboration between Simon Says Stamp and Whimsy Stamps called Spooky and Mice. Wednesday's challenge theme was stencils and I used Tim Holtz's moon stencil and a spider web for the card front. 

Going Batty

 Another with the Envelope of Wonder die sets from Spellbinders. The papers are Honey Bee Stamps (purple) and Authentique for the bats and webs. For the Take Flight challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

I used the Envelope of Wonder bundle from Spellbinders with the main die set and the Halloween one for the ghosts and other fillings. Added some glow in the dark sequins and a sentiment from Poppy Stamps. Attached to a card that I cut out using the envelope die.

 Taking Flight! The Monday challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

I used the ghosts from the Envelope of Wonder bundle with Tim Holtz's Sizzix Layered Stripes die, weaving in other cut strips. Sentiment is glitterfied with Nuvo gloss.

Queen Bee

 

For the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge of Sparkle and Shine I added Nuvo glitter gloss to the bee wings for a nice bit of shimmer. The September card kit is really awesome and can be found HERE. Great if you love bees and sunflowers!

Be A Sunflower

                                         

The September card kit from Simon Says Stamp is bee-utiful! If you love sunflowers and bees, this is the one for you. Everything coordinates so perfectly, makes it is so easy to create with.

 I stamped the bee hexagon repeatedly to create the background, spritzed it with Flickering Candle mica spray (very shimmery), added bee and sentiment from this month's Simon Says Stamp Bee Happy September card kit. 

Trick or Treaters

 Ready for fall and some cooler temps! Is it too early to start Halloween cards? I like the cuter spooky cards and not the terrifying ones :) This is for the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge with the theme of Sparkle and Shine. I covered the entire card front with silver glitter dust spray (Thermoweb) and used holographic silver card stock for stars, lunar paste with some Wink of Stella glitter gloss  on moon and shiny black metallic card stock for fence. Distress oxide ink colors were Villainous Potion, Dusty Concord, and Spiced Marmalade. Tim Holtz Sizzix dies Ghost Town #2, Dash Away All for moon and stars, Graveyard Colorize for fence, Halloween Night for trick or treaters.
