Winter Post Accordion Card

I cut the Real Red cardstock at 4 1/4" and scored at every 3 1/4" on both long pieces.Cut off excess. Silver embossed Baroque Motifs swirl, sentiment, and snowflakes. Also stamped Scandinavian Season in Riding Hood Red (stamped off once) and the Snow Burst flake in Pink Pirouette. Card is held closed with silver stretch cording tied in a bow.

Bella Christmas Fairy

These Bella fairies are my favorite! I changed the flower she was holding into a layered paper poinsettia. Colored the image in Copic markers (Lipstick Red is one of my most used colors and very recommended!). Paper is Figgy by Basic Grey and some Crafty Secrets for the red gingham. I managed to make myself use some Glorious (gak) Green mixed with some Real Red. Not too bad if you use it in small doses...
Wings must be glittered in my humble opinion so I used Star Dust Stickles, finished off with some retired SU wide organdy ribbon.

Trim The Tree

I was inspired by the really neat-o gift wrap at Whimsy Press found here:

http://www.whimsypress.com/detail_popup.php?productID=92&side=front

I knew I had to dig out Trim The Tree to mimic the row of trees. Thank goodness for the stamp-a-majig, it's a must for that set (and the Merry & Bright sentiment which was from To You & Yours). Tree stamped in celery and then two step part done in old Olive with some Garden Green markered in to some of the circles. Ornament brads were also added. Star is SU but from an unknown set, it was loose in the basket on my desk. Note to self: Put things away when you are through...

Happy Thanksgiving

Many blessings to you all today for a wonderful Thanksgiving. I thank God with a humble and grateful heart for all of the many blessings in my life, too numerous to count.

I love making pinwheels, they are super quick and easy. I layered mine here with two and snipped off the points for the bottom one. I've attached a pic of the cutting lines, you can use any size square you like. Cut where shown on dotted lines then take the points to the center of the square and adhere. Try decorative edged scissors for another great look.
All supplies are current SU: Autumn Vine paper, Naturals buttons, In Everything Give Thanks stamp set.

Pumpkin Pie made from punches

Circle punches and decorative edged scissors and you have a pumpkin pie made from scratch! I saw this idea on a Hallmark card today and thought how easy would that be, mine is a modified case of the original.
Really Rust cardstock with Flannel Plaid stamped in Pink Pirouette, Fancy Flexible Phrases used for sentiment and flourishes. Whipped Cream was done with white gel pen.

Quilled Big Shot Snowflake

This is a combination of two challenges. For the Inspiration challenge, I was inspired by the white outfit worn by January Jones found here:
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm844732928/tt0804503

The other challenge was one I am doing with my friend Anne (itsapassion) where we are trying to motivate each other to use all of our unloved purchases that we thought we couldn't live without, this was to use some of our quilling supplies.
This is my second quilling attempt ever and I really enjoyed it! The snowflake flower was glittered with Dazzling Diamonds all over and attached to the Big Shot large snowflake. The white card base was white embossed using the Floral stamp and then run through the snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder. Pretties Kit stck pin and white taffeta ribbon also used.

Winter Post

I couldn't help myself with this one, I HAD to do it! This is for my son who hates the skaters in this set, I wanted to make him laugh. I cut out the skaters and slid them through a slit in the paper pond which was outlined in Crystal Effects. The rest of the card is just the same as my swap card two entries down, this is what happens when you have leftover pieces and too much time on your hands.

Crab & Company

Little Pretties Kit pearls for embellishments inside the clam shells, all images colored with markers (banana, Pretty In Pink, Blush Blossom, More Mustard, Real Red),
some Dazzling Diamonds added for sand. The card base is black with Real Red and stickers from I Wish scrappin' kit.

Big Shot Top Note

I joined a Big Shot swap hosted by Julie Alberda, check out her wonderful SU only blog here:

http://stampingstation.blogspot.com
My Big Shot die choice was the Top Note which is by far my favorite and I think the most versatile. For this card I used Chocolate Chip as my card base with Riding Hood Red designer series paper with some I Wish from the Scrappin' Kit. The To You & Yours house was stamped in chocolate and colored with markers and the roof and snow were glittered up with some Chunky Sprinkles. The skaters are from Winter Post and were also colored in markers, cut out and popped up on dimensionals. For the water (mini pond) I used a Tempting Turquoise watercolor Crayon in an oval shape and blended with the Aqua painter. Cards were finished off with the sentiment from the To You & Yours set and the snowflakes from the Holiday Mini and some rhinestone brads or pearls.

Bloomin' Beautiful

All supplies are current SU. The designer paper is from Patterns Pack (Kraft) a level one hostess choice. The black cardstock was embossed using the bee with Versamark and black embossing powder. Image was colored in markers, Pretties Kit pearls used as embellishment. Combining two challenges today, the first is the color combination of Kraft, Real Red, and Black.
The second is a challenge with my Doubledog Dare friends this week hosted by Michelle (sf9erfan) to case a sample from the SU catalog (page 86).

Starbucks Inspiration

My husband thought I was a bit goofy bringing home our coffee cups yesterday but I thought wow, that would make a cool card! Riding Hood Red cardstock was the perfect match and I used SU's Rough Texture jumbo wheel with Nature Silhouettes and Winter Post deer and some stamps from Inkadinkado all embossed in white. Punch Pals emblem with scallop circle punch and white taffeta ribbon.

In Everything Give Thanks

Triangle folding or tea bag fold, this finally came together after quite some time trying to figure out the directions. I must admit following written directions (even is they come with pictures) is not my forte. I usually have someone else figure it out and then show me :) Directions can be found on Splitcoast and there is a super easy one here that is called kite folding (I did understand this one right away).
http://www.teabagfolding.circleofcrafters.com/

Autumn Vine paper along with Baja Breeze and Whisper White cardstocks, brass build-a-brad for flower center, vintage brads, and chocolate ribbon.

Dahlia Fold & Medallion Technique

I made a dahlia fold out of retired Cerise paper and added a fire rhinestone brad to center. The medallion circle was made out of Ski Slope paper with Riding Hood Red behind it and a decorative corner punch by EK Success. (Both of these technique tutorials can be found on Splitcoaststampers.com) The Scandinavian wheel was embossed in white on white and mounted to Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze cardstocks. Sentiment is from Hugs & Wishes with Styled Silver hodgepodge hardware frame.

Peaceful Wishes

I just got this new Christmas set from Crafty Secrets today and had to play. I embossed the Christmas ball in silver tinsel e.p. and stamped the bird in center and colored with Copic markers. I added an A Muse clear round sticker and popped up all of the ornaments out on dimensionals so they look more realistic. Peaceful Wishes branch in Handsome Hunter and sentiment in Riding Hood Red. Silver cording used to tie on ornaments. Buckeroo Blue with Riding Hood Red cardstocks.

Holiday Hedgehogs

This one is a real blast from the past, one of those favorite sets that I could never part with and one of my first SU purchases. The very first set I bought was Fun Faces at a Stampin' Up party I attended with a friend, I bought it just to be polite. Who knew what this would have led to. I would love to know what your first set was, do tell!
I used the I Wish paper with Basic Gray, Black and Whisper White. Images were colored with markers. Organdy ribbon and silver cording tied around center. The snowflakes were embossed in Iridescent Ice powder.

To You & Yours

House was stamped in Pacific Point ink and I inked trees in Chocolate and Old Olive. The sky was shaded with Stampin' Pastels blue and yellow, roof and snow were accented with glue and Dazzling Diamonds. Panel to the left was stamped with swirl from Priceless, Urban Garden paper on top panel, gray taffeta ribbon, and Soft Subtles button with silver cording from the Holiday mini. Background stamp is Bella Toile in Basic Gray ink.

Christmas Tree Box

The template and the instructions for this super quick Christmas tree ornament box can be found over at Splitcoast in the Technique Lovers Challenge 194.

I used Urban Garden paper with Real Red grosgrain and cardstock. Old 3 flower punch was punched twice to layer for a poinsettia flower. Very Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware frame with Best Yet sentiment (a level 1 hostess set).
The other one uses It's Snow Time colored in with markers, large star punch with Prints Pack paper (also retired), and Build-a-Brad with flower from Baroque Motifs.

Scandinavian Season

Here are three more cards I will be featuring at my Christmas Card party. I am crazy about this holiday mini set, my favorite SU set this year. Kind of weird considering the first time I saw it I didn't really care for it, now I love it.

The top card uses the star image stamped in black and color highlighted with Stampin' Pastels. This was also done with the strip on the side which uses the coordinating wheel. Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red cardstocks(with matching ribbon). The coluzzle can be used to cut circles, outlined image with white gel pen dots. This is a standard A2 sized card, you will just tear off the right front of card to expose the colored wheel image that is adhered to the inside of the card. All Holidays sentiment was stamped in black.

The Olive card uses the mitten image and the Punches Three (hostess level 1) which were embossed in White powder on Real Red cardstock. I used the square scallop punch to cut out the sentiment and then again in Chocolate (cut in half and positioned behind sentiment to frame it). I added a scallop punch edged border to the Ski Slope paper with some taffeta ribbon. Snowflake was stamped with Versamark in background on Old Olive. Bar at the top uses a gold brad and holiday mini gold cording.

The second card uses the tree image from this set on Whisper White embossed in silver with a brad and some white taffeta ribbon and Ski Slope paper.

Baskets & Blooms

Frosty Day d.s.p. from the Holiday mini was used for this Baskets & Blooms bag (a Stampin' Up exclusive Bigz die for the Big Shot). Scallop circle punch with level 2 hostess set Deer Friends (colored with coordinating markers) for center tag, to and from tag is from Winter Post. Bashful Blue grosgrain ribbon also added.

Gift Card Holder

All supplies are SU only.
I love Bashful Blue, real Red, and White for holiday cards. Jolliest Time Of The Year snowman colored with markers and accented with Chunky Sprinkles clear in a faux snow globe inspired by one of the samples in the Idea Book & Catalog. Another possiblity for the card making party, gift card holders are great to have on hand for the holidays.

Window Dressing

All supplies are SU only.
I stamped the window image in black on Whisper White, then I masked off the window (stamped window on a thin sheet of paper and cut out around inside of window panes top and bottom) and then stamped the Lovely as A tree in Handsome Hunter.
Handsome Hunter top fold card base with Whisper White and Riding Hood Red designer series paper and matching striped grosgrain ribbon.
You probably should use the stamp-a-majig to line up the curved sentiment above the window, I've messed up many a card by winging this one. The shutters were colored in with the Creamy Caramel marker, hair in More Mustard and headband in Ruby Red. Her face was done with Blush Blossom ink pad and an aquapainter with a little dab of Pretty In Pink on cheeks. It is very hard to detect in picture but for the Christmas balls I used a dab of the Tombo mono multi glue and then sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds. I love the way this came out!!

Under The Stars

All supplies are SU only.

Card base Brushed Gold with Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White. Cut a Santa hat out of Real Red & White, sponged edges in Bashful Blue. Images colored in markers. I embossed the stars in gold embossing powder on the red card base and then filled them in with a paintbrush dipped in bleach, it looks really cool in real life. For the string of presents I used the linen thread and colored and cut out the gifts from the Punch Pals set. Very Vanilla Hodgpodge Hardware was used for the sentiment holder and the sentiment itself is from the level 1 hostesss set Best Yet.
