Sweet Gingerbread Home

Stampin' Up! Sweet Home and Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp sets on Whisper White card base with Dazzling Details glitter glue for snowflakes, warm vanilla sugar oil lightly dabbed on glitter icicles for today's SCS challenge. Coordinating thinlits dies to cut out windows and banner. Inks Espresso, Baked Brown Sugar and Real Red. Went over houses with markers to give it a wood look.

Cookie Cutter Christmas- Eskimo

Stampin' Up! supplies: Whisper White and Pool Party card stocks, scallop edge punch, Pool Party glitter ribbon, alcohol ink Blendabilities markers, Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and punch, cable knit embossing folder, stencils and Cool Caribbean ink, Bermuda Bay ink for sentiment. 

I only had eyes for the gingerbread man in the set and that was the main reason I bought this. But now I've fallen for all of the other characters as well, especially this sweet Eskimo. They all look like they want to give you a hug and this one reminds me of a kid in a snowsuit that can't put their arms down :)
I started by using the new stencil and inked with Cool Caribbean, then ran it through that most awesome new cable knit folder from the holiday mini. Followed sketch for this week's challenge. Embellished it a little with the strip of glitter ribbon.

Clockworks

This is and older retired set from Stampin' Up! called Clockworks that I totally love. I had a stack of vintage manila paper that I was going to make a mini journal out of and wanted to see how it would react to the distress inks. I love how it drank the ink swipes right up and blended together so well. After swiping various inks and drying, I ran it through the clocks embossing folder and highlighted it with Colorbox Chestnut Roan ink. Stamped sentiment in espresso. Gold embossed clock and inked that Very Vanilla piece and matted to copper card stock. 

This card was for the SCS challenge to use hexagons. I used some Halloween paper from Authentique and two different stamps, the bat is from Inkadinkado and the sentiment an unknown acrylic set. Frames from Spellbinders.

Peaceful Petals

I've been working on organizing my craft room and this past weekend was like Christmas time. I found so many fun things that I forgot I had, it's like they were new again. Like this floral patterned vellum paper from Stampin' Up! from many years ago. And remember micro-beads? Had to add some to the flower center on the blue flower and silver glitter to the Blushing Bride ones. Heat embossed with silver all Peaceful Petals images onto glossy card stock, then colored with water and re-inkers. Stamp set isPeaceful Peatls on the vellum with Soft Sky and Blushing Bride card stocks.

Poinsettia Peace

Well, we are coming into that cardmaking season, from here on through the end of December. Fall, autumn leaves, harvest, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, I love making cards with all of these themes. This year I will also be working on some other papercraft projects to share- 3D items, gift bags and tags, ornaments, and much more.
This card was made for the Featured Stamper challenge at Splitcoast, I chose the gift package style card with poinsettia by Marg (Margscardcrazy) as my inspiration. The die cut poinsettia is from Spellbinders, everything else is Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla and Garden Green card stocks, retired Christmas paper, gold cording, sentiment from a retired tag set, cut with word window punch, embellished with Cherry Cobbler wide taffeta ribbon.

First Christmas card!

Digging through my older Christmas supplies while trying to sort it all out to see what I need to buy for then new season, I thought I would give these older sets some love before parting with them. Nature's Seasonal Borders made the band at the bottom. Christmas Cardinal was colored with markers and paired with some older retired SU holiday paper and Sahara Sand base that was embossed with SU embossing folder. i don't always know exactly what the names of some of the papers and embossing folders are, so I apologize. I often organize a lot of my supplies without their original cases, cards, or information to save space so the names get lost.
