Woven Pillow Box Basket

I used all Stampin' Up supplies, retired SU paper, Whisper White cardstock, Pretties Kit silk flowers, corduroy buttons, flower brads. This basket was cased from SouthernBellStamper, Connie. Thanks Connie, I loved this idea using SU's pillow box Sizzix die! You use 4 pillow box die cuts and adhere at corners to form your box. I used strips of paper and a weaving pattern on the panels on all four sides. The cardstock panel pieces were 3 1/8x 2 1/8" with the strips on top.

Tart & Tangy Fruit Slices

For today's Scratch and sniff technique, I used a little Lemon Lime jello mixed in with my embossing powder for the lemon slice sentiment. Tart & Tangy stamp set on a Whisper White pillow box, I cut an oval in the center and covered that with a small piece of acetate for the window. Fruit slice colors: Real Red, Regal Rose, Yoyo Yellow, Green Galore, Only Orange. Crushed Curry ribbon and scallop circle.

Pillow Box Princess Crown

I made this super fast and easy crown from the Sizzix pillow box die. I came across the idea by accident after trying to make my first pillow box bucket the other day from the tutorial in the Resources section. I had cut too many of the pillow box and thought it really resembled a crown so I decided to make one in Brushed Gold cardstock and emboss it in gold with the Bella Toile stamp. Added the royal "jewels" from the Pretties Kit and clear rhinestone brads. I am going to use this as a basket for my desk as I am too old to play princess :)
This would be a fantastic Mommy & Me project to let your child decorate her own crown! I cut out 5 of the pillow box and taped them all together with durable Sticky Strip.

Build A Bear Bucket

This was made using the very clear and easy tutorial and video featured on Splitcoast yesterday. It uses the Sizzix pillow box die (3 of them adhered together) to create a quick basket. I used the Cottage Wall designer paper on top of Rich Razzleberry cardstock. The Build A Bear image was colored in markers and attached with dimensionals and embellished with a filigree brads, I also used these brads to attach handle.

Pillow Box

Today I am working with the Sizzix pillow box die #113466.
This is a super quick and easy way to make a gift/treat box. I plan on making a large assortment for all occasions to have on hand in a pinch.

Supplies used on this group were:
1. Autumn Days stamp set, Autumn Traditions dsp, Soft Suede cardstock and polka dot grosgrain ribbon.
2. Rich Razzleberry cardstock and ink with Medallion stamp, Birds & Blooms Sizzlits die for flower, stretch silver cording (coming in the new Holiday mini) Pretties Kit.
3. Naturals White cardstock that was first swiped with Going Gray ink and then embossed with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder with the flower centers accented with Dazzling Diamonds, butterfly from Dreams du Jour embossed in silver on Brushed Silver.

Picket Fence Card Holder Box

This was a super simple project I made using the Martha Stewart Embossed ZigZag punch and white cardstock. For the wood grain I swiped my Bashful Blue and Going Gray ink pads down the front and added lines with a black Stampin' Write marker. Leaves are in Old Olive (SU Embosslits Little Leaves), Three Flower Punch in Banana with clear microbeads in centers.
Cardstock measurement for box is 5 3/4" x 11". Score at 4 3/4 and 6 1/4". Cut a strip to run lengthwise and adhere to box bottom and side with some added tabs. This box is perfect for holding A2 size cards or whatever else you can fit in there!

Big Shot Valentine Treats

This week I will be sharing some treat container ideas for Valentine's Day. I figure if I get everything made, packaged up, and set aside I may be a little less tempted to eat up all of the chocolate and candies. we'll see...
Both projects use the Stampin' Up Big Shot dies- the Baskets and Blooms and the Small Pillow Box along with the Riding Hood Red designer series paper patterns. For the basket I used the hearts from Simply Said along with the heart from the new upcoming level 2 hostess set A Little Somethin'. I also used 3 silver eyelets along each side seam and wove the taffeta red ribbon through the center ones and made a bow.
The little pillow box came together in a snap. Filled with candy and tied with linen thread and added Iridescent Ice embossed hearts punched from A Little Somethin' heart and added pearl.

Money saving tip: I scour through the after Christmas decorations to scoop up all of the red things that I can find and use them for Valentine's Day. By now (if there's anything left) it is marked down to 70% off at least. This is where I got the red crimped filler and I also got some clear bags, red wrapping and ribbon.
