Mrs. Frank Treat Bag

I love these treat bags and make them every Halloween. This is a little white paper craft bag that I cut with scalloped edged scissors at the top then adhered Top Note die in Green Galore with Orchid cardstocks (both retired SU),black gingham ribbon, tag and circle punches used for features. This is a mix of various ideas I have seen for these bags from Splitcoast and on the internet.

This card is going out to a girl who is a music major and currently studying piano, she is going through some difficult times with MS. The gals on Splitcoast are getting together some cards to cheer her. I didn't have any SU music images so I had to use this piano and sentiment from Artful Inkables. All other supplies are by Stampin' Up, the designer paper is retired though.

Out On A Limb

Some more cards going out to Operation Write Home this week. I have been working with my boxes of pre-cut packets that I had left from workshops and stamp-a-stacks so these are going together quickly. I used the new Halloween set by Stampin' Up called Out On a Limb. All supplies used are SU although some may be retired. Inside sentiment says "no trick or treater could ever be sweeter".

New SU! Out On A Limb

The new holiday mini begins September 1st but I will be showing some sneak peeks all this week. Some really cute stuff in this one!
One of the new Halloween sets is called Out On A Limb, I used the moon, witch, broom and pumpkin from this set. The sentiment is from Sweets for the Sweet and the frame from the hostess punch set. Delicate Doilies paper, the frame is one of these die cuts, cut to fit oval. All supplies are Stampin' Up.

Broom Rides

For Mark's Finest Papers Blog Hop Day 2 this set is called Broom Rides.
Halloween Treat Tag cards measure 2 3/4" x 4 1/4". You can get four of these from one sheet of cardstock. All images and sentiments are from the Broom Rides set with MFP cardstock.

The second card uses the cute sign and sentiment "Broom Rides" along with the tree. I dabbed on some leaves in various colors and embossed the bottom strip in black using the cute border stamp with the owl, pumpkin, tree and cat. Gold cording, ribbon and charm are available at MFP.

The third sample used the cat and pumpkin and Happy Halloween sentiment. I use some purple cardstock and some Halloween paper, maker unknown. Added rhinestones and black lace to embellish.

House Of Haunts Halloween

I love the new Smooch Spritz colors, they are all so rich and pretty. This also has a pearlescent sheen that didn't show up too much on the photo but looks great in real life. I used Sun Kissed, and Carrot Cake, added Cosmic Pink on the house panel along with those colors also.
Nestabilities Fleur de Lis die used as a frame with some orange rhinestone embellishments.
House of Haunts embossed in black. Inkadinkado tree stamped on background panel in black classic ink.

The Great Pumpkin

This was a card I made for Halloween last year using Autumn Harvest by Stampin' Up.
"It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" was a show we looked forward to every year when we were kids, it wouldn't have been Halloween without it. My very favorite scene was when Snoopy rises up from the pumpkin patch scaring the wits out of Linus and Sally which is what I tried to show here.
Happy Halloween!!!

Pumpkin Patch Projects

This is a clean and simple 5-10 minute card. I stamped the Baroque Motifs swirl in Old Olive on Very Vanilla cardstock and sponged edges with Apricot Appeal. The pumpkin was made with the large oval punch, edges sponged with matching ink, stem is Modern Label punch in Mellow Moss.
The little pumpkin treat box was made from a template from a Paper Projects book by Sandra Lounsberry Foose. I like to check my library for craft and cardmaking books. If your library doesn't carry it, some will request it for you from other participating branches. Or if they are really nice they will order a copy for you! It never hurts to ask.

Time to start those Fall/Halloween projects!

The first card uses the scallop circle dies for the Big Shot and the new Sweet Centers treat cups. I used the jack-o-lantern face from Autumn Harvest with black StazOn ink, a strip of Old Olive cardstock curled, and a little tab of Kraft taffeta ribbon for the stem. Filled with Reese's Pieces. yum.

The second picture features a little pumpkin man made with the 3D ornament Big Shot die with a loop of Celery grosgrain ribbon.
The second sample is a designer paper strip pumpkin. I used the Cast A Spell designer paper with some leaves made from Mellow Moss and matching ribbon.

I stamped the flourish from the Wings Of Friendship set in olive on the oval and then stamped the EEK from the Sweet Centers set on the side. Main image was inked in old Olive and then I used a black marker to go over the bat and spiders before stamping.

Easy Witch Hat

Cut a triangle and then place on fold of a piece of tracing paper to make your template. My pattern makes two hats for a piece of cardstock but you could size it however you like. I used the new Versamark Champagne Dazzle and embossed with clear powder the haunted house and spider web. I added two Green Galore buttons with some googly eyes for embellishment. For the inside I cut a slightly smaller triangle from Green Galore.
