This week it was my turn to host the color challenge at Splitcoast. Since fall is bearing down us, ready or not, I chose some colors to compliment this pretty season.
I chose More Mustard, Tangerine Tango and Soft Suede. The dessert option is to make it into a thank you or Thanksgiving card.
I used all Stampin' Up supplies except for sentiment. Spice Cake paper, half pearls and vanilla seam binding riibon to embellish. I stamped the side panel in mustard and tangerine with some of the smaller stamps from the set and embossed with the Swiss Dots folder.

Autumn Mix Up

It certainly feels like fall here today with temps in the low 60's. I am still waiting for summer weather to get here in the Pacific Northwest but I guess those 5 hot days we just had were it!
Today's challenge on SCS was to mix it up using stamps from more than one company.
I combined the new sneak peek set called Autumn Fun from Mark's Finest Papers (available in mid-September) using the leaf and sentiment. Stamped the leaf in Tangerine Tango and shaded with pearlescent chalk pastels, embossed the sentiment in gold. I also used the French Foliage set from Stampin' Up on Confetti Cream cardstock in various colors of ink. I cut out two medallions from the new Autumn Spice specialty designer paper as part of the layout (Mojo100 sketch). Daffodil taffeta ribbon to embellish.

Branch Out Apple Tree

This week our Doubledog Dare challenge was to make a fall or back to school card that had an apple or apples somewhere on it. You are very welcome to join us, there are no fancy requirements, just post your creation using the keyword DDC on SCS so we can find and comment on your card.
I used the Branch Out Tree and the cherry from On A Pedestal for my apple for this fall card. Autumn Traditions paper, eggplant grosgrain ribbon, and Earth Elements brads also used.

New In Color Autumn Leaves

Loving this new Autumn Days set from Stampin' Up, I think it is extremely versatile. For today's card I played in the Featured Stamper challenge over on SCS where today's honoree is Roseannne Knowles, Sumtoy. I chose one of the cards in her gallery for this inspiration changing the stamp set, colors, sentiment and embellishment.
I used Bravo Burgundy as the card base with So Saffron atop this that was stamped in matching ink with Priceless swirls and the leaf from Autumn Days to make it look like the wind was blowing the leaves across the card base. I stamped the leaves in all of the new In Colors (some were stamped off once for a lighter shade). New Rich Razzleberry ribbon across middle and sentiment that is from the Upsy Daisy set. I really love the way my top embellishment came out. It starts with a 5/8" Neutrals Brad and a leaf that was gold embossed on Burgundy and then cut out. A 3/4" circle was punched out to go under the brad.
