New Year Calendar
My magnetic refrigerator calendar for the coming year. These will be sent out with my Christmas thank you cards. I used the new Vintage Vogue set, the Embrace Life sentiment, retired Blue Bayou and Soft Sky cardstocks and the retired Parisian Breeze that I have been saving since it is one of my favorites and I wanted something that I really loved a lot since it will be up all year long :)
Magnet strips on back (from Michael's).
Mini calendars from Impress.
Best wishes to you all in the coming New Year! May your life be filled with many blessings, good health, and happiness. Thanks for stopping by to visit me, I hope in some small way I can inspire you.

The first card starts with a Melon Mambo base with the Sending love specialty paper and some Real Red matting. Melon polka dot ribbon and sentiment from Well Scripted set also used.

The red paper is from the holiday mini so will not be available in the new one but I loved the way it looked with the Valentine theme.

Van Gogh Technique
Van Gogh, along with Monet and Renoir are my absolute favorite artists. I wanted to try this Van Gogh technique today so I found a painting of irises and tried to use similar colors. Various markers, re-inkers and watercolor crayons were used for the flowers and background.

My Happy Place
I haven't had too much time to stamp the past week, there is still the baking, wrapping and cleaning left to do. Thought I would share a few pics of my space with you...
Well, this room still needs a lot of organizing but I will save that for one of my New Year's resolutions. This is my happy place, even when it is a disorganized mess :)

My Matryoshka
I made this an apron card (fold is at the top), Basic Black and Whisper White cardstocks, copic markers, My Matryoshka stamp set ( sneak peek from SU Occasions Mini), used red eyelets, grosgrain and satin ribbons.
I googled apron template on the web and found one with this rounded shape that I re-sized and adjusted, changing the neckline to a heart shape. There are so many cute patterns available out there, it was so hard to choose. For the border I used my small scallop edged scissors and then punched holes along the edges with a small hole punch.
Most supplies are Stampin' Up.

Sending Love Specialty Paper
I love this new Sending Love specialty paper by Stampin' Up with the bit of sparkle running all through it. The designs in this pack are mostly pinks and reds but work for more than just Valentine's Day cards and projects. Can't wait to try out some more of this! This will be available very soon in the Occasions mini catalog.
There is a great tutorial in the techniques section of Splitcoaststampers for this cute beanie gift card holder by Carolina Buchting.
All supplies are SU although the organdy pink ribbon is retired. Pretties Kit beads and pearls, pink taffeta and white satin ribbon also used.

Vintage Vogue
This card was made for today's Featured Stamper on SCS, Pam124. Congrats!!
I used the new Occasions mini set (available January 1) Vintage Vogue and stamped the flower in Brocade Blue and rock and rolled it in Not Quite Navy, cut it out and added rhinestone brad and mounted it to NQN circle with dimensionals.
For the quilt I cut a piece of cardstock 3 3/4" x 5 and added 1 1/4" square punches of Bella Bleu designer paper. You may want to play around with adjusting the pattern you want before you tape it down. After all of the squares are taped down, center it on your Top Note die and then run it through the Big Shot. So easy!
The background is En Francais script stamped in Not Quite Navy on matching cardstock.
All supplies are Stampin' Up.

NEW SU!! My Matryoshka
I just received my preorder for the new Occasions mini yesterday so will be sharing lots of new stuff with you this week. I have always loved these little nesting dolls and was so happy when I saw this new set from Stampin' Up. I tried to make the main image look like one of the beautiful buildings you see in Moscow by using the ornament punch. The paper is from the new Occasions mini, the image was colored in markers, the ribbon is also new, some yummy red satin. LOVE the new stuff, especially all of the ribbon.
I used retired Stampin' Up holiday d.p. with a Chocolate Chip cardstock base, Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon, retired jumbo white eyelets, lace trim, and a silk poinsettia I stole from the garland on my fireplace mantel.
The tutorial for the shipping tag holder is on Splitcoast today.

Season Of Joy
On A Pedestal
I cased this idea from the birthday card Hallmark sent to me, changing a lot of details to make it different. I loved the idea of the "streamers" across the design and tried to make mine with some narrow organdy ribbon. I used Stampin' Up's On A Pedestal embossing the cake plate in silver and the cake in Rose Red craft and clear e.p. The teeny tiny silver flowers are negatives from a floral border punch (I have a hard time throwing anything away). The silver embossed sentiment is from the retired set It's Your Birthday. Cardstocks used were Whisper White, Pretty In Pink, and Brushed Silver.
Warm Winter Welcome
The paper for this is Autumn Meadows by Stampin' Up with a Chocolate Chip base. Silver brad doorknob by Making Memories, wreath made with Martha Stewart branch punch and a small sunburst punch, embellished with mini jingle bells. The sentiment sticker is by Christine Adolph, the tinsel garland I had in my craft and ribbon stash, maker unknown. I tore a piece of Whisper White cardstock for the "snowdrift" at the bottom of the door and covered the top in Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

Nature Silhouettes
This card is for my Dad who is recovering from knee replacement surgery to cheer him up. He lives on a beautiful river in South Jersey with the state forest right across the river and this reminded me of that area. Very peaceful.
The card base is Basic Black with Autumn Meadows paper, Very Vanilla, and Soft Suede. I also used the pine branch from the Autumn Days set with Soft Suede polka dot grosgrain ribbon and gold photo corners. All supplies are Stampin' Up except the photo corners.
Baby's First Christmas Shoe Ornament
Yuletide Montage Angel
I love this Stampin' Up retired Christmas set, Yuletide Montage. It is one of my favorites. I used Whisper White and Pirouette Pink cardstocks. Embossed the angel in silver and added some pink Stampin' pastels to cheeks. Elegant Bouquet embossing folder was used for the background, the dots were highlighted with markers and I added Dazzling Diamonds. White organza ribbon and Pretties Kit stick pin to complete.

Dasher
I was inspired by a card on the Martha Stewart website, changing it with stamps, glitter, sentiment, and colors. All supplies used were Stampin' Up except for mini pearls and cranberry texture paint for berries.
Card base is Mellow Moss with Sahara Sand and Bravo Burgundy. I embossed Dasher with Chocolate Chip craft and clear embossing powder. The Lovely As A Tree image was stamped with a glue pad and then Fine Cosmo glitter in Celery was added. Sentiment in burgundy is from To You & Yours set.
