Alcohol Travel Markers

 

I wanted to get an inexpensive set of alcohol ink markers for when I travel so I don't have to worry about losing my Copics. This set from Amazon was about $30 for 120 of them and they work pretty well, made by Sanjoki of Japan. There is a little bit of bleed to them so you have to be careful near the edges of your image. I really like their assortment of greens, I can never seem to find the shade I'm looking for a lot of the time. The naming of the colors in this set is a bit odd so I will be going by the color chart when choosing.

Of course I won't be taking the whole set with me, it's pretty heavy!

You Are Beautiful

 For this card I used the ephemera pieces from the pack, trimming away most of the white border and then popping it up on foam tape. The designer paper is also from the Craft Stash Frida Kahlo Collection, card bas is Poppy Parade by Stampin' Up!

Frida

 The new Frida Kahlo Collection from Craft Stash is really awesome! I stamped the images on a panel that was done with ink sprays and sponged on color. Colored with Prismacolor pencils and added some washi taper that is also from the collecton.

Tropical Paradise Shaker

This Tropical Paradise frame die set is by Gemini. Made a shaker out of it using Simon Says Stamp sequins.

Good Vibes

 I was coloring Beach Huts today, lots of different colors coming up in my card making this week. Before you know it it will be too late to be making summer cards and we will be diving right into fall and Halloween. I for one am definitely ready for some cooler temperatures.

 Supplies used were Simon Says Stamp for the beach hut scene, die by Elizabeth Craft for dunes and Alextamping skies stamp. Pictured below, these hard to find skies stamps are phenomenal. It is one of the stamp sets that I will never part with. Got these many moons ago on ebay.

Beach Huts

 Oh, how I miss the beach and Boardwalk! Didn't get a chance to get back home to the Jersey shore this year and am a bit homesick. We didn't really have beach huts there, mostly lifeguard stands but the feel is the same. 

The cute Beach Huts stamp set and matching dies are by Simon Says Stamp.

Here For The Boos

The technique challenge on SCS this week was for paint scraping, using acrylics. These were metallics so there is a nice glimmer to them. The ghost embossing folder, ghost die, and sentiment die are all by Simon Says Stamp. 

 

Gladys

This fun flamingo die is by Tim Holtz. Combined it with some various tropical foliage and flower dies.
 

Tropical Cockatoo

 For the layer it up Simon Says Stamp challenge on Instagram that gave me the chance to use this new cockatoo die by Paper Roses. The paper is Craft Consortium Tropical Paradise.

Beach Umbrellas

 Red, white, and blue "Beach Party Umbrellas" is a fabulous background stamp from Simon Says Stamp. Such a fun, joyful image with so many possibilities for colors or size. Stamp is 6" square. Also used SSS beautiful die cut and sentiment strip.

Train Postcards

 Two similar versions using the Crafty Individuals CI-404 stamp for the train image and some postcard and postage stamps I have in my collection. I have some train enthusiasts in the family so this will be perfect!

Kahlo and Klimt

 Homage To Frida is a Dina Wakley stamp by Ranger, background is Stamperia Klimt collection stencil. Two of my favorite artists! On watercolor paper, used distress oxides for background.

Hot Pink Thanks

 A very easy embossed card using Ranger neon pink and Simon silver embossing powders, Vintage Garden August SSS card kit and some sequins, Lavender card from the kit and SU Pixie Pink as a base.
