This is another of the Falliday Fest tutorials available this week at Splitcoaststampers.
I used Stampin' Up retired fall designer paper, More Mustard card stock, and the SU Autumn Leaves Sizzix die and then painted the chipboard cut out leaves with (Facetten-Lack) gold crackle paint. Added some paper leaves and a fall berry pick to bottom. Eyes are black brads with the prongs cut off.

Challenge Cards
I am dropping a bit behind on the challenges...
The first one calls to use of some of your scraps, something we all have lots of, I'm sure. I used some retired SU Halloween paper, cut into 3/4" strips and basket weave technique was used. Basic Gray and Whisper White cardstocks. Pumpkins were a set from G45, I think and sentiment is from Authentique paper. Glasses are stickers by Recollections.
I came across this cute stamp the other day in the thrift store, it is made by Stamps Happen. I made some 4 1/4" square cards for the spread a little kindness challenge, to pass these on to a stranger. I'd like to drop them at my local assisted living facility if they will accept them, if not they will go in my box that I am working on for the Ronald McDonald House card drive.

Masking and Dendritic techniques
These are for today's Falliday Fest challenges!
The first use Inkadinkado's Witching Hour stamp set.
The moon was masked, stamped cat and broom on white, colored. Embossed with spider web folder. Colored and cut out hat and popped up on dimensionals.
The second use SU's Cookie Cutter Christmas and the "dendritic" technique. This was easy and fun and one I can see myself using again. Take an old cd case and add some acrylic paint colors of your choice. Mix the colors around a little and then close and smush the two sides together. Open the cd case slowly and gently and you will see the "branches" begin to form. Mine looked like ice so I went on from there.

Blizzard technique
More Falliday Fest challenges today! Oh, did I mention there are prizes?? Head on over to Splitcoast and see what all the fun is about.
My first card used a technique that was a fun and easy and one I had not tried before. On Night of Navy card stock I used an acrylic block that was wrapped in Tim Holtz tinsel trim, dipped in white acrylic craft paint and then applied to the card stock to create a blizzard effect. It called for yarn, eyelash yarn gives even more texture but I could not find mine. I am seriously trying to resist the impulse to run out and buy things I know I already have somewhere. Usually the item turns up a day or two after I stop looking for it :)
The rest of the card supplies were: Marigold Morning, Whisper White thick, and glitter card stocks, gold organdy ribbon, sentiment and small village dies (unknown).
The second challenge called for birds or feathers so there were many directions to go with this theme. I wanted to get some Halloween cards out of the way before I start in on Christmas.
I used this Halloween stamp from Stampendous with the raven in it. Stamped twice, once on vanilla and then again on a chipboard tag that was covered with gesso and sprayed with shimmer spray. Layered the tag over main image that had been inked with Tim Holtz distress oxides. Highlighted leaves with markers. Stamped a vine in tangerine over the tag side. Embellished with ombre ribbon and a tin brad.

Blessings
I used a Recollections journal, Stampin' Up! embossing folder, lace and autumn trims, Fiskars stamp set and various SU punches and dies. The corrugated background cover was colored with alcohol ink sprays and Brushos crystal colors.
Tutorial Tango
For the second challenge of today's Falliday Fest we have tutorial tango. Choose a tutorial that starts with the first letter of your first name. Mine is J for Joseph's Coat. I used an old Spectrum ink pad (Autumn Leaves) on glossy card stock. Added Basic Black ink and then wiped off to reveal colors beneath. Base is Lemon Lime Twist embossed with a Tim Holtz folder.Sentiment is retired SU (Holiday Best). Embellished with florist twig and some pompom trim.
If your name starts with an S you are really in luck, there are a ton of tutorials starting with that! If your name starts with an X choose one that starts with a number.
