Truckin'

Some more Tasty Trucks rolling in today. The first uses up some pieces of designer patterned paper I had lying around and I added some white dots to the colored in truck to copy the background.
The second is basically a case from the mini catalog, made it square and layered it on Hello Honey and More Mustard and added some baker's twine. Some nice easy coloring therapy :)

Mobile Bakery

All supplies used were Stampin' Up!.
I had an extra truck colored from today's color challenge so I made this card. For the awning I used two pinks (Pixie and Pretty In Pink) and the word window punch on an Island Indigo base embossed with the large polka dots embossing folder, SU Sizzix.  Colored the image with markers and embellished with some Indigo baker's twine.

Tasty Trucks

So happy to finally have a chance to use this adorable Saleabration stamp set Tasty Trucks. Whenever I see it I think of the Food Network show The Great Food Truck Race with Tyler Florence. I colored mine in Pool Party, Perfect Plum, and Island Indigo. This is a business envelope sized card made of Pool Party card stock that I stamped in coordinating ink using the retired Itty Bitty Background, a set that I will keep forever! Finished with some Island Indigo baker's twine.

Birthday Blossoms Doodly Doo

For this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge and the technique challenge at Splitcoast to doodle. I did the doodling around all of the flower petal edges and the bottom of the card. Stampin' Up!'s Birthday Blossoms stamp set, designer paper (unknown SU), card stocks of Whisper White, Pixie, Pink, and Pretty In Pink. I used some silver embroidery thread for the embellishing.

Foil Relief Technique

For the Mixed Media challenge this week of putting the petal to the metal :) I chose this technique, one I have never tried before:

Mini Matisse Foil Relief

On my piece of cardboard I glued some cheesecloth, silk leaves and mini flowers. Covered in tin foil, sprayed with flat black Krylon primer. Used steel wool to rub off color in places. This brings up more of the texture of whatever you used underneath the foil. It is very cool! (Don't be concerned if you don't see the texture right after you add the foil. The magic seems to happen when you spray paint it.)
Embellished with some paper flowers, rhinestones, a piece of chain, metal sentiment. I used a regular bottlecap, put a floral sticker inside and then crimped all of the edges and added some Crystal Effects to the center.

Succulent

I really love this Stampin' Up! Succulents stamp set and coordinating dies. It's a lot of therapeutic fun working on layering the succulent petals.I used all Stampin' Up! supplies, some of it retired such as the designer paper that was from a scrappin' kit, Subtles micro beads. Current items include candy dot embellishments and Flower Patch stamps for sentiments. Sage Shadow and Pretty in Pink card stocks were used for this card.

Love Notes Framelits

Started with watercolor paper and added spritzed water and then Scarlet and Purple Brushos crystal colors. When dry, I white embossed the Open Sea passenger manifest stamp (SU), added gold texture paste to Tim Holtz valentine stencil. Stencil hearts with Primrose Petals ink (also T.H.), sprayed over with Tattered Angels "Rose Petals" Glimmer Mist. Cut with Stampin' Up!'s new LOVE NOTES heart framelits. Mounted to black card stock for matting and then onto Naturals White. Popped up all heart cut-outs. Added black butterfly from SU framelits and a gold ribbon rose.

Love Bugs

New Stampin' Up! Sale A Bration set Love You Lots, colored with markers and highlighted with crystal effects. Everything else on the card is retired, I have been cleaning out the old craft room and keep coming across bits and bobs that I want to save or work into a card or project. I can't wait to start creating with my new Stampin' Up! order. Lots of really fun things to try but I wanted to use these cute little ladybugs for a valentine. The sentiment is from the older Love Bugs set.

10 minute Valentine

A super simple valentine using Stampin' Up! retired Victorian lace background stamps. I LOVE my background stamps and will never part with most of them. This card was easy with this backgrounder, stamped in Sahara Sand on Whisper White and then again in black on Real Red card stock. Cut heart from framelit heart die and added a bit of retired black organdy ribbon. The sentiment is one from Hero Arts, reminds me a bit of Yoda :)

You've Got This

Stampin' Up's You've Got This set embossed in white, sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black, on watercolor paper.
I am finally getting a chance to play with the Brushos color crystals that I got for Christmas. Santa knows me very well, cookbooks and stamping supplies and maybe a novel or two :)
I used the Brushos to get as close as I could to the color challenge selection of Wasabi, Wisteria, and Soft Sky. I love this product and I can see having a lot of fun experimenting with it.
