Fresh Cuts Marble Technique

I used Baja Breeze ink on Going Gray cardstock for the marble technique. Use a plastic stamp case and tape cardstock to lid. Add a couple drops of re-inker to bottom and drop in a couple of marbles and roll them around. Turn this container upside down and roll around on your cardstock. I'm sure if you don't have marbles you could used large beads or ball bearings. 5/16" Neutrals brads and Basic Gray taffeta ribbon to embellish.
Walk in The Park paper along with Basic Gray & Black cardstock. Highlighted areas of Fresh Cuts image with Pretty In Pink and Blush Blossom markers.
Also for our weekly Three Amigas challenge to make a gray monochromatic card.

Wild About You (and VSN!)

This is a multi-challenge card. This week it is Julie's turn to host our Three Amigas challenge and we are to use the 3 B's of brads, buttons, and bows. If you would like to join us just add TAWC to your keywords or let me know where your card can be found and I will add your card to our challenge link.
I also used Beate's weekend Scketch Challenge (pretty much) and the VSN that is going on this weekend at Splitcoast. This stands for Virtual Stamps Night and is a great deal of fun if you get a chance to play. This card was inspired by the Vegas casino Circus Circus and we had to use some orange somewhere on our card.

Inspiration Challenge- Come and Play!

This week I am the hostess for our Three Amigas Weekly Challenge (TAWC). My favorite challenges are inspiration pieces and this one has so many possibilities. A branch with some cherry blossoms, eggs, Easter images, the colors. My sample uses Stampin' Up's A Good Egg with Pirouette Pink cardstock and Bella Birds designer paper. The template for the basket can be found on Splicoaststampers under TLC213. I hope you can join us, there is no time limit, no restriction, only the motivation to get us stamping. If you upload your creations, please include the keyword TAWC or send me a link and I will add your creation to the challenge page.
Thanks and have a very happy week!

The Trouble With Bunnies

is that the bunnies sure do multiply! This was for two challenges, the first is to use the colors Riding Hood Red, Summer Sun, Kraft, and some Basic Black. I combined this with our Three Amigas challenge this week hosted by Sharon Graham to make a demented or humorous card. (TAWC for keywords if you would like to join in).
I stamped the strees using markers and the thumping technique, in honor of Thumper, using Celery, Olive, Cocoa, and Chocolate. Added pink dots since it is spring-y. Cut oyt all of these bunnies and popped some out on dimensionals.

Sweet Stems Bugs and Kisses

This is a multi-challenge effort. Julie Alberda challenged us to make a card and then a scrapbook page using the same elements. There had to be an old accessory from the catalog and one that is new this year. My new ones are the scallop oval and eyelet border punches, the old ones are the Felt Fusion flowers and Soft Subtles brads. Kiwi Kiss, Pretty In Pink used along with Raspberry Tart paper.
I combined this challenge with the Weekly Sketch Challenge this week hosted by Jenn Balcer and the Limited Supplies challenge on SCS to use a bug or bugs on your card.

This Week's Challenge

Our Three Amigas Weekly Challenge is to make a card for a boy or man with any shades of the colors brown and blue. It can be for any occasion you choose.
I used the Parisian Breeze designer paper which is a very nice cardstock weight, textured paper, double sided. The Naturals White panel was embossed with one of the new Stampin' Up textured plates which are very cool! I stamped a sentiment right on the embossing in Chocolate Chip. Embellishments were the neutrals brads in Chocolate and linen thread. Cute and Curly stamp set along with matching punch for sentiment.
This challenge was combined with today's Featured Stamper, Kelly H, where I cased her pocket card layout, making changes to the paper, stamps, and embellishments used.

For this second card I used some of the large Pretties Kit white flowers, my new Prints Pack designer paper (Level 1 hostess choice), the Top Note die that was run through the Big Shot with the new texturz plate. I cut the flowers from Simple Friendship out of the same dp, added some Crystal Effects and some of the tiny silver beads from the Pretties Kit. Sentiment/flourish is from Yummy which is a Sale-a-bration choice, stamped in Pacific Point.

Small flower was stamped in Pirouette Pink with rhinestone brad added to center. Butterfly was stamped in Pretty In Pink on vellum and cut out.

Fifth Avenue Floral and TAWC Vellum Challenge

Our Three Amigas Weekly Challenge is hosted this week by Sharon Graham who has challenged us to use vellum on our card.
I used Pirouette Pink as the card base with another layer of vellum cardstock that was wheeled with Doodle in craft white and edged with eyelet border punch. Fifth Avenue Floral image on Pirouette Pink sponged with some pinks. Leaves in Celery from the flower in set. White organza ribbon and you know I had to add some piercing, Sharon :)
We would love to have you join us for the challenge, just break out that vellum and add it to your card somewhere. Be sure to add TAWC to your keywords so we can see your creation and leave you some love.

Three Amigas 24-7 Sketch Challenge

Today's card is a combination of two challenges, the first is the WT to use stripes and the second is a weekly challenge this week hosted by Julie Alberda. Julie made up this sweet sketch for our TAWC or Three Amigas Weekly Challenge. We would love it if you would play along too, just add TAWC to your keywords.

I used the SU Parisian Breeze designer paper with some Cocoa and Baja Breeze cardstocks, Friends 24-7 stamp set, 5/16" Neutrals assortment brads, and Valet ribbon.

This is from the new Artful INKables set Think Big. I love this image, the little reading girl has the sweetest expression. I colored her in Copic markers and added dots to mimic the designer paper (Delicate Dots- new SAB).

Black & White Challenge

This week's Three Amigas challenge is to make a black and white card with a pop of red. I was inspired by this lampshade from hunkydoryhome.com

For the background I stamped the brocade style image stamp from the new Stampin' Up Friends 24-7 set in Versamark and then embossed it in white repeatedly to create the background. This took a bit since I had to re-position the image with the stamp-a-majig after each individual image embossing. I love the way the background came out though! The rest of the card was a snap after that. I stamped this same image in black on Whisper White, added sentiment in Real Red with a rhinestone brad from the Pretties Kit and some of the new Valet ribbon. This is SO pretty in real life. It is a ruched black velvet, it's a shame you can't see the detail of it in the photograph. This 3 pack of ribbon is a must have!
Please join us for this challenge. We call it the Three Amigas Weekly Challenge or TAWC so make sure you use the TAWC so we can find your cards in the SCS gallery.
Have a wonderful stamping week, y'all!

Three Amigas Weekly Challenge- "Go To Layout"

Today's challenge was hosted by Sharon Graham and it was to choose a quick layout that will work for you in a pinch. With the new Big Shot dies this is really easy, run that paper through and there's your background! I used the Urban Garden paper with the Top Note Big Shot die for this with some Kiwi Kiss ribbon, silver hardware and Soft Subtles brads. The sentiment is from A Little Birdie Told Me stamped in Kiwi Kiss ink. Flowers are colored with Stampin' Up markers Pretty In Pink, Old Olive, Celery, and Gable Green.

We'd love to have you join us, just post TAWC in your keywords so we can find you.
