Elegant Thank You

Super quick and easy card for the 2009 Christmas Card Challenge for January, I made 10 thank you cards with the new sneak peek SU stamp Elegant Thank You. Ski Slope paper with Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, and Old Olive cardstock.
This is also for a challenge I do with my stamping friend Anne where each month we challenge each other to use our unloved stamping purchases. This was to dust off the brass stencils, stylus, and light box and do some old fashioned dry embossing. No cheating with an embossing folder! My borders are on the top and bottom of each sentiment.

Owl Together Now

Time to start in on the Valentine's!
I used the stamp set Owl Together Now colored in markers.
Cardstock is Pretty in Pink, matted with Bravo Burgundy with a new Christmas present Cuttlebug border embellished with pearls. Pink grosgrain ribbon tied in a knot with ends secured to back. I think the polka dot paper is from the Berry Bliss d.p. pack.
Pretties Kit flowers with center ones dyed Blush.

Winter Post Scrapling

Scraplings are the strip have left after you create a square card that was cut at 4.25 x 5.50 and then cut again to make a square card of 4.25. These are cool!! The measurement is 1.25" x 4.25" and makes a great gift tag.
Winter Post deer stamped in Chocolate and tag stamped in Riding Hood Red, background was stamped in Old Olive using the Beautiful Borders set. Silver hodgepodge hardware tag, white organdy ribbon, silver stretch cording to embellish.

Snow Day

This is the reason I feel the need to make warm sunny spring cards today :-)
This is the view from our kitchen door on the upper deck.

Just Buzzin' By

Just a quick post as I have presents to wrap and cookies to bake and shopping to do if I can get out of the hose with all of the snow we have here. Next year I am going to be done everything by Thanksgiving, I swear!
Paper is Parisian Summer with Certainly Celery. Bees colored in markers, sentiment on tag is from Hugs & Wishes.
Bee joyful!!!

New from the upcoming Spring/Summer SU catalog.
I used the Prints Pack paper in More Mustard because this pattern reminded me of a honeycomb. The scallop is in the polka dot paper, white taffeta ribbon. Image colored in markers.

Snowflake Spot

For the Holiday Challenge Extravaganza found here, come and play!

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...d.php?t=405367

I started with the Snow Angels colored in markers, card base was Sahara Sand stamped with snowflakes from Snowflake Spot and Cat Dancing Designs, some were embossed in Iridescent Ice and white or stamped in Baja Breeze. Pacific Point also used.
I used the Big Shot snowflake die for cutting the flake in Whisper White but I kept the negative part for the card on the left. I can't seem to ever throw anything away.
Embossed Snow Flurries in white on inside of snowflake points on the Pacific Point.

Gift Tins

This is a super quick project that I got from Capture The Moment by Nichole Heady. The tins are from Papertrey Ink.
The strip of cardstock is 1 1/2" stamped with sentiment and embossed with white snowflakes. Wrap around tin secured with Terrifically Tacky Tape to hold. Embellish as desired. I will fill these with Hershey kisses for quick teacher gifts.

Dreams du Jour

What a fun morning, I woke up to find us snowed in and to find one of my cards on Stampers Showcase. Woohoo for Billy too getting to stay home again from school, he has his sled all ready to go.
This card was made using the Bella Rose paper, image stamped in black and colored in with markers. Button Bouquet with a bit of white taffeta ribbon. A pretty quick and easy card to demonstrate.

Sweet Stems New SU!!

**The latest word from Stampin' Up demonstrator support is that it is okay to post samples from the upcoming products available shortly in January.
These are some of the new goodies from SU that will be out in the Spring/Summer catalog. The paper is really pretty and is called Raspberry Tart, the set of 4 stamps is called Sweet Stems.
I'm going to use this as one of my 3 samples for a swap I am in for this set. What do you think?

I made a double pinwheel out of the d.p. and used a build-a-brad in brass with the flower image inside. Brads and photo corner punch also used.

Thomas Kinkade

This lovely Kinkade image was sent by our challenge hostess Julia (artystamper).
I colored this with Prismacolor pencils and used River Rock, Old Olive, and Rose Red cardstocks. My color combination came from my ribbon and I went from there. Floral background was stamped in Old Olive on the River Rock for the card base, brass photo corners unknown, and ribbon is from May Arts.

Billy & Bella

Billy and Bella wish everyone a Merry Christmas with much joy and laughter, many blessings and a Happy, Healthy New Year!

Tag Star Punch

There is a wonderful tutorial on Splitcoaststampers in the Resources section to make this star with vellum, cardstock, and the small and large tag punches. This is the first time I've tried this and it was much easier than I thought it would be, nothing to be scared of at all!
I used a floral patterned vellum and Riding Hood Red and Whisper White. Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon {I used this to match the pearl in the center of my vintage button which is from my collection}. Mini jingle bellls tied to ribbon and Joy sentiment is from the set Glad Tidings embossed in white. Pierced and dotted edges and used scallop edge punch for border.

Cheers To You!

Early for a New Year card, I know.
Cheers To You colored in markers and accented with some bling.Glad Tidings set stamped with the trusty Stamp-a-majig in Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss. Sweet Stars wheel rolled with Versamark in Iridescent Ice filled in with Dazzling Diamonds. Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss cardstocks.

Winter Post Gift Tags

Recycling Christmas ornaments into gift tags. The nylon string is still on it so they can be used as ornaments after the present is opened. I have a glue dot holding it on to the card but they will come off very easily.
Kraft cardstock with Winter Post flake in Caramel and small flake from Snow Flurries in Craft White. Sentiments in Chocolate Chip are from To You & Yours and Winter Post. White organdy ribbon and gold brad embellishments. I snuck a little of the retired True Thyme in on two of them, I love how it looked with the Kraft.
Enjoy your day and weekend. Lots of folks in Washington are getting snow today but not us. Yay!!

Scandinavian Season

This card is one of the samples on Stampin' Up's website today on the demo side. I'm not sure what happened to the bow and the image shifted and is crooked in the picture there, but this is what it looked like before the mailing.
I embossed the tree in silver with Veramark and shaded with Baja Breeze re-inker. Added some Ice square rhinestone brads and mounted to Going Gray and Basic Gray panels. Ski Slope paper, filigree brad, and white taffeta ribbon also used.
Can you tell I love this set? And I don't have a drop of Scandinavian blood in me, I'm mostly an Irish girl!

Tres Chic

For today's challenge to use half of the stamped image, I made two from the same Inkadinkado Santa image. Tres Chic on Cranberry Crisp in matching ink, lined edges with Zig painty pen. Gold organdy ribbon and some gold filigree jewelry findings with pearls in center. I got the gold filigree thingies in the jewelry making aisle at Michaels. They have a lot of cool things there that can be used as card embellishments and I really can't let those 40% off coupons go unused...

Simple Delights

Simply Sent Kit Simple Delights was used for the very first time, I forgot that I had it since it wasn't on the shelf with my other stamps.
I stamped the medallion in Versamark and then copper powder, cut with 1 1/4" punch and mounted to Brushed Copper 1 3/8" punch. Very Vanilla background strip was stamped with Blush using the Floral (soon to retire), card base stamped with Blush on Blush using fleur-de-lis stamp in set. Beachfront ribbon and retired copper cording and brads as accessories. River Rock cardstock was also used, I really liked this combination of colors, it is soft and elegant.

I used the Stampscapes stamps with some black organdy ribbon, sentiment from Nature's Silhouette and hodgepodge hardware frame. Colors used in sponging were Blush, Pretty in Pink, Riding Hood Red, Amethyst, and Chocolate. Highlighted area with tiny white gel pen dots. This is the first time I used this set and I am so happy I checked Anna's (annascreations on SCS) gallery and got the courage to try it out.

Thanks for looking!

Lace Snowflakes

My favorite color combination for this season is any light shade of blue with Real Red. For this one I dug out some Cool Caribbean. I used the old retired SU set Lace Snowflakes. I love it and will never part with it, no way, no how. I embossed background flakes in Iridescent Ice and larger one in white. Made a glitter window by punching a circle, covering with tape and sprinkling with Dazzling Diamonds. Behind this round window is a large flake from the set in Carribean ink. Added a Fire rhinestone brad and mounted this panel up on dimensionals. Red satin ribbon unknown. Cool Caribbean, Real Red, and Whisper White cs. Much more sparkly in real life!

I Wish Scrappin' Kit

I can't say enough good things about this SU scrappin' kit, it's really a great deal. I made all of these things and still have half of the kit left.
In pic there are eight 6x6" scrapbook pages (One is covered up) all ready for photos, cards, gift card and treat holders, regular cards, and a tag.
I also used the Winter Post stamp set and Best Yet sentiment.

Snow Burst

This K & Co paper was made for the SU Snow Burst set. The small snowflake in this set is almost an exact match for the one on the paper but I couldn't fit it into my design. This is for today's SCS sketch challenge, thanks Rox and Christine. Also for our Doubledog Dare Challenge this week hosted by Beverly (beestamper) who sent an awesome package of goodies that we chose two items from for our Christmas themed card. Thanks Beverly, you rock!
I chose the K & Co paper and I stamped the sentiment Wishing You A Merry One over and over as my background for the Snow Burst flake. It took a while to adhere all of the pearls to the scallop, thank goodness for my granny magnifying glasses. Purely Pomegranate card base and satin ribbon. White gel dots all around edges.

Tres Chic Scandinavian Season

I had to use the Tres Chic stamp somehow today, I bought it over a year ago and only used it once. I embossed this with silver on Sahara Sand. The tree was embossed on Very Vanilla and I highlighted some of the areas with Dazzling Diamonds and added a rhinestone brad to flower. The star was from the Scandinavian set embossed on Sahara and punched with small star. Silver stretch cording with Pretties Kit baubles also added. Card base is Basic Black.

I Punched Santa's Face!

He asked me to sit on his lap and then called me a ho three times. The nerve!
Sorry, I just couldn't help myself, heeheehee.
Scallop edge, large scallop die cut, Three Flower, and 1/4" circle punch. Ski Slope paper with Black and Whisper White, black grosgrain ribbon, styled silver hodgepodge hardware and Pretties Kit pearl. Highlighted with Dazzling Diamonds.
