Easter Blossoms

Retired Stampin' Up! Easter Blossoms used for this springtime card. Also for the Splitcoast "S" mixed media technique challenge today, I used sponge and spritz with the Tim Holtz colors of distress oxides. Spritzed salted background with water, when dry spritzed with Pearl glimmer mist. Used stencil in craft white for vine pattern and then stamped silhouettes in Onyx Black. Colored cherry blossoms in two shades of pink Copic markers.

Seed Packet Pocket

There are some favorite products from Stampin' Up! that will always be keepers for me. On this card I used one of my very favorite card stocks- Bordering Blue. I stocked up on this one just to be safe. The stamp set is My Matryoshka because the flower cluster looked just like this one from the Authentique paper that I just picked up at my local scrapbooking store. I made a pocket out of it by simply cutting the paper a few inches longer than the 5 1/2" length and folding it up. Inserted a square doily and folded over edge, taped edges on sides of card. I will insert a few packets of seeds behind the shaker image panel. Shaker contents are clear sequins and brown microbeads.

Chocolate Bunny

I really love this retired Chocolate Bunny stamp by Stampin' Up! It came out a little darker than it really is in the photograph. Retired pansies wheel in white embossing and then sponged various pastel colors atop. Embossing folder is by Darice. Embellished with baker's twine, sprigs in Certainly Celery birds and branch punch, white pom pom tail and silk rosettes. Starting in on my Easter  cards since it is earlier this year! Now I just have to make sure I mail them out in time which always seems to be my problem :)

Cake Soiree

New goodies in the house! I love this new Cake Soiree suite from Stampin' Up!, I think this is one that will be used quite often. Cut the large number die and pedestal from silver foil paper. Card base is Night of Navy, Bordering Blue, and Bo Bunny Genevieve paper. Colored the flowers in Copic markers.

Congratulations, Eagles!!!

That was the best Super Bowl game ever! I waited my whole life for the Eagles to win the Super Bowl and my dream has finally come true. I wish my father was still here to see his hometown team win, he sure did love his "Iggles" :)
