Bella Toile Butterfly

Starting with a card base of Stampin' Up! Shimmer White I gold embossed Bella Toile background. Sprayed front with Tattered Rose Glimmer Mist and added some Brushos crystal colors in purple and scarlet and let it bleed together, spritzed on some more glimmer mist. This is so shimmery in real life, I love it! Gold embossed Tim Holtz butterfly on shimmer paper and cut out with coordinating die. Colored in Copic markers to match. Added gold cord behind butterfly, added to Whisper White sentiment strip with Style Beautiful sentiment.

Succulents

This card was for the Featured Stamper challenge for casing Technique Freak Kelly Acheson. I made a few small changes to her pretty card, I love the way she used the succulents as flowers and the soft color combination. The paper is retired SU and I tried to make the flowers look like an extension of the ones on the paper.

Fuse Tool

I really love my new Fuse tool, perfect for sealing shaker pouches. This was my first project with it and I managed to keep my lines pretty straight :) I imagine this would be great for Project Life scrap pages.
Supplies used for this card were: Stampendous mermaid and die, colored in Copics and highlighted with Wink Of Stella glitter. Hero Arts Mermaid kit for sentiment and sequins, Fuse paper kit on Bermuda Bay base. Half pearl to embellish.

Paisley Framelits Dies

Well, here's another use for the Paisley framelits dies :)
I started by outlining some of the Stampin' Up! Paisley framelits dies with an extra fine tip black marker and then spent most of the afternoon doodling in and around the images. Shaded with various pencils.

Card Catch Up

Catching up on my card challenge uploads. It's been a sore week of healing after some minor surgery. Stitches on my back have kept me from being as active as I would like but I was able to carefully stamp some things. Stamps aren't too heavy to lift :)
The first card is on Whisper White and uses Penny Black Pop Pop Poppy watercolor stamp. Instead of watercoloring it I used my new Lyra polycolor pencils (love) and Kinda Eclectic sentiment by SU.

The mermaid is by Kindred stamps on a Tim Holtz distress oxide background. I made a stencil of circles using an acetate sheet and circle dies. It's so easy to make your own stencils and I plan on going through my dies and creating some more of these! Inked white craft ink for additional bubbles with stencil and added the leftover acetate circles to card for more water "bubbles".

The third card was for Flag Day on June 14. The flag strip is actually duct tape. The rosette was made with some retired SU paper and the Tim Holtz die, added a star embellishment to center. Clear embossed a mountain/valley Americana scene on the bottom and sentiment in Pacific Point ink (stamps by Mark's Finest Papers).

Happy Summer! Rocky The Crab die is by Elizabeth Craft Designs, not sure where I got the summer sentiment. Crumb Cake card base was embossed in Baked Brown Sugar ink with retired Sandy Shells wheel. Crab washi tape added to bottom and I made some shells with polymer clay and a mold.

And finally one of my favorite Stampin' Up! stamps (never to be sold!) Corner Garden. Embossed in white and painted with re-inker colors of Crushed Curry, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Wasabi and Celery. Sentiment is from Field Flowers, another keeper!

Scallop Box

It's great to finally get a chance to play in the Splitcoast challenge today! I've been out working in the yard doing the major spring clean up since the sun has finally made it's debut!
I did a modified case from the new Stampin' Up! Idea book and catalog (page 143). I think this was my favorite of all of the samples they had. I changed it to work with the supplies I have since I haven't placed a new order quite yet.
Bloomin' Love for the sentiment banner, Very Vanilla was stamped with the retired jumbo Doodle wheel in Crumb Cake, Secret Garden flower was colored and then cut out. Succulents thinlits dies were used for center part of flower and darker flowers behind the main one. Bird and branch punch for leaves and twines and jute for big bow behind flower. The pearl closure was a large pewter eyelet flattened out with the crop-a-dile and a flat pearl on top. Smaller pearls added to flower center.
