Sea Turtle

The technique challenge at SCS today was an easy one. Color a swatch of plain paper towels with the ink of your choice. I used Tattered Angels shimmer sprays of Bahama Blue and Turquoise on Costco paper towels which actually have a lovely mosaic imprinted on them.
The sea turtle die is by ElizabethCraft Designs cut in Japanese origami rice paper with gold embossed card stock shell. Hello sentiment is by Tonic Studios. Ah, how nice it would be to be snorkeling in Maui today swimming with the beautiful sea turtles.

New Sale-A-Bration set Amazing You embossed in Versamark and gold powder. Colored with Prismacolor pencils of Crimson Red and Carnation Pink. Stamped flower bouquet in background in black. Added white gel pen accents to sprigs and flower centers. Popped sentiment up on dimensionals.

Rainbow Builder

I know that I am going to love the new Rainbow Builder dies by Stampin' Up! So many possibilities.
Combined them with the Lawn Fawn fairies to create a magical sky scene. For the Mix challenge on SCS today to drizzle, I used squiggles of Dazzling Diamonds glittery stickles.

Penny Black and Hero Arts

Today's challenge was to choose one of the many resist techniques so I went with the standard emboss resist.
I almost bailed on this one, it was a hot mess. The inks I used kept smearing on the glossy card stock so I had to keep stamping, wiping, blending. Thank goodness for the Misti positioning tool or I never would have kept going.
I used a large variety of ink colors, embossed in espresso with Versamark. Shaded sky and sand with various Tim Holtz distress oxides and regular distress inks, markers, and a white gel pen. The landscape stamp is Penny Black. Santa and the green row of trees on the horizon are Hero Arts.

Silvery Sparkly Silhouette

For the January Christmas Card Challenge with the theme of using a silhouette. I cut the deer by Darice from paper that had been sprayed with silver Glimmer Mist (on glossy white card stock) that had a swirly mosaic stencil pattern placed over top. Cut out the trees in glimmer paper and laid atop glossy white paper that had been sponged with Tim Holtz silver mixative alcohol ink. Sentiment from silver foil paper is from Impression Obsession. It's a very sparkly card :) I had to pull most of the color from the original photo as it looked really yellow, this is closer to the actual color/shade.

I Love Paris

For two challenges, the inspiration at The Card Concept found HERE
Today's challenge at Splitcoast was to create a card based on your favorite memory from 2017. Mine was our visit to Paris in April, on Easter weekend. Went back to Heidelberg, Germany on the train as well.
Will treasure this vacation forever, it was the trip of a lifetime!
The stamp is by Stampendous. Stamped and cut out an additional Eiffel Tower and flowers and popped up on dimensionals. Added rhinestones to flower centers. Inked edges with various Tim Holtz distress inks. Base is Vanilla with En Francais stamped in Positively Pink and then embossed French Filigree in gold on top. Matt layer is Crafty Secrets dsp and this was attached to Blush Blossom textured card stock. Sequins to embellish and lace is from a retired SU kit.

Christmas Tree

For my third card in the 2018 Christmas Card Challenges.
The 3D embossing folder is by Crafters Companion.
Doodled in red and green on the Hero Arts tree and added Wink of Stella to all of the raised embossed areas. It's very hard to see it in the picture but it is so much prettier in real life with all of the sparkle. Added clear sequins to embellish.
Card stocks used were Dark Cream, White, and SU Real Red. Inks were Hero Arts Forest Green, SU Real Red and SU markers for the doodling.

Tattered Poinsettias

Card number 2 for my 2018 Christmas advance card making, I am hoping for one a week which should put me on Easy Street come December :)
Embossed holiday image and stamped sentiment. Colored raised portions of embossing with Copics and shaded around them with various pastel chalks. Added glitter and fake snow to frame along with Nuvo drops for berries. Poinsettias are Tim Holtz.

Balloon thinlits dies

These sweet balloon dies were from the clearance rack at Stampin' Up! Great for any celebration card, I think I will get plenty of use from these. I cut them in gold, silver and copper glimmer papers, backed in Basic Black and the base is Shimmer White that was embossed with a fireworks stamp (non SU) in silver and gold powders. Base was embossed with the SU stars folder.
