Blue Butterfly

For today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast they featured a lot of color blocked dresses to choose from. I chose the blue and black one and used the Stampin' Up! All Dressed Up framelit die with black glimmer paper on a Whisper White card base that was embossed with a Tim Holtz folder. The butterfly stamp and sentiment are from retired SU set God's Beauty- one of my all time favorites of theirs. Added a little rhinestone to the belt line for a little extra pizzazz!

Beautiful butterfly dress! Love your colours and the clever idea of making the skirt out of butterflies! Well done!

Did you cut the butterflies out with scissors or is there a framelit for them?

Hello,
The butterflies were cut out by hand.

Thank you Joanne. This card is so beautiful!

Hi, how did you do the top of the dress please?

Hi Charlie, The top part of the dress was cut from the Stampin' Up! "All Dressed Up" dressform die and I used black glitter paper from Hobby Lobby.

Hello, beautiful and unusual card. I wondered how you colored the butterflies. They look almost like stained glass windows.

Thanks, Brit Girl. There is a lot of detail in the veins of that butterfly image from Stampin' Up! and I mostly just tried to blend in blues and greens that were compatible.
