Ornament

I meant to finish this ornament before Christmas but never got to it. Teardrop shaped clear ball with a pretty sequin ribbon added with a hot glue gun. Wrapped the top edge with silver cording. Easy and beautiful! A perfect addition to my formal tree with lots of crystal ornaments and icicles.

Lotus Blossom

A quick and easy thank you card using the new Lotus Blossom set on Whisper White with the new canvas ribbon. Lots of new goodies to play with and not enough time. I am definitely going to set aside some extra time later today to try everything out.

Winter Post Tags

Re-purposed a sheet of gold cardstock that was in a package of hair product that I got at Costco, I couldn't bring myself to throw it away. I used all Stampin' Up! products to complete them, Winter Post and Many Merry Stars stamp sets, gold cording, gold and black embossing powders, and adhesive tape by Sookwang for tag backs.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! Get Your Santa On stamp set colored with Blendabilities. Tag punch with Whisper White and Real Red cardstocks. To/From sentiment is from Winter Post.

Let It Snow Let It Snow

Disney Frozen inspired Olaf card for my little nephew who LOVES this movie and sings Let It Go all day :) The Olaf was a coloring page found on the internet and printed out on SU Whisper White that was embossed with a Darice snowflake folder. Let It Snow was a Sizzix die in Pacific Point cardstock.

Christmas Tags

Thanks for not abandoning me! I have not stopped crafting or blogging, things have just been so busy here lately, I haven't had nearly enough hours in the day. I'm sure I'm not alone in this with the upcoming holiday season fast approaching.
This tag uses an old gingerbread man stamp that I drag out every holiday because I love him. Colored in Copics, icing trim was highlighted with Dazzling Details sparkly glue and then I added some white Flower Soft flocking. The paper is Nordic Noel? (new in current SU holiday mini catalog), with red baker's twine, and Christmas sentiment from Punches Three. I used the white cardboard that came in the designer paper pack to adhere the paper to so it gives the tag a little more body. I stamped over a dozen of these gingers so I will complete them assembly line style later today.  

Gingerbread Tags

It's tag making time! The holiday will be here before we know it so let the Christmas crafting begin.
Stampin' Up! supplies: Real Red, Very Vanilla and Whisper White cardstocks retired holiday designer paper, Scentsational Season gingerbread man stamped in Pumpkin Pie and cut with coordinating framelits die, sentiment and snowflake are from Winter Post set, red baker's twine. Bloom With Hope Birthday

 

For the Fusion Challenge  this week I used both the inspiration photo with the aqua and white theme and the sketch. All supplies used are Stampin' Up! Bloom With Hope hostess set and Blendabilities markers, Very Vintage jumbo wheel in Craft White. Cardstocks: Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, and Whisper White.

Sparkles and Garland

Stampin' Up supplies: Real Red and Whisper White cardstocks. Real Red and Smoky Slate inks, Peaceful Wishes stamp set, Filigree Frame embossing folder, white pearls, rhinestone for garland, Red and Silver glimmer papers (cardstock), Ornament Keepsakes framelits dies, snowflake punch is Martha Stewart.

Holiday Home Christmas Tags

Stampin' Up! Holiday Home set with Real Red, Chocolate, and Crumb Cake cardstocks, Blendabilities markers, and Real Red satin ribbon used to make these holiday gift tags. It's not too early to start crafting for Christmas! I got two of my trees down and am going to begin the decorating of the smaller ones and store them in the guest room until after Thanksgiving.   

Cheerful Christmas Ornament

Stampin' Up! supplies: Cheerful Christmas image colored in markers of Real Red, Old OLive, Garden Green, and Not Quite Navy on Whisper White cardstock. Festive Flurry die and a window sheet to cover the white snowflake, attached with an antique brad for center and some sparkly embroidery floss to hang. 

Pine Cones

 

I know it seems silly to actually BUY pine cones but these were on after Christmas clearance and I couldn't resist. I always "bake" the cones I collect in a warm oven for an hour or more to kill off any insects living inside so this saved that step.
This is a fairly easy project made easier if you have a hot glue gun. I wound two strands of Christmas candle decorating garland around the finished cone tree and studded it with some pearls and pins. The tree topper is a snowflake rhinestone from last year's Stampin' Up holiday catalog. I stocked up on those beauties, my favorite SU embellishment ever!

Bank

I always seem to have pocket change all over the place so I made this quick little bank out of an old small coffee tin. Stampin' Up paper and Secret Garden Flower with microbeads in center. Cut a slot on top with Exacto knife.  

Note Card Box

 

I recovered this old note card box with Stampin' Up's Modern Medley designer paper. Flowers and frame are Spellbinders dies, sentiment from hostess set Hello There stamped in white craft ink. This will be filled with a variety of cards and envelopes for a gift. 

 

Paper Mache Ornaments

I stocked up on the after Christmas sale at our local Ben Franklin Craft Store last year with so many different ornaments I figured I had better start now for the upcoming holiday season.
These little paper mache ornaments are pretty easy to do with scraps of designer paper, I used three different design papers for each one. Start by tracing out a template in the shape of each section. Vellum usually works well for this task as you can see through it to know where your lines are. I used glue sticks to adhere and some very narrow rick rack trim to go between each segment to add more definition.
The papers used were Authentique for the Halloween and Stampin' Up! Candelight Christmas for the red and green one.

Christmas Cheer

All supplies are Stampin' Up! Christmas Cheer with retired designer paper and silver cording, antique brads, embossing folder, cardstocks of Olive Real Red, and Vanilla.

Celebrating 500 Color Challenges!

 

I am so happy to be back with my friends from the Splitcoast Color Challenge sample team! We are celebrating the 500th color combo challenge showcasing each of the four seasons. Pick one or make one with each recipe, they are so lovely you will want to try them all.

The first card is Winter using Island Indigo, Lost Lagoon, Cherry Cobbler, and Olive. I used the new mini set Holiday Home by Stampin' Up!

The second card is for Spring with a pastel combination of Crisp Cantaloupe, So Saffron, Pistachio Pudding, and Soft Sky. Stamp set is Flower Patch on some retired Attic Boutique paper. All supplies are SU.

Hope

Some more cards to go to the M D Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for the Hope You Can Cling To card drive. All supplies are Stampin' Up! 

Scrappy Hello

For today's Splitcoast Hope You Can Cling To challenge to use scraps or strips to create your card. Stampin' Up! retired Sale-a-bration paper, flower punch and brights button, sentiment is from Happy Day with Banners framelits die, cardstocks: Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, and Whisper White.

Four Feathers

All Stampin' Up! supplies: Baked Brown Sugar cardstocks embossed with Tulip Frame folder, Four Feathers stamp set in various colors with Naturals button and linen thread. Also used Blooming With Kindness and French Foliage stamp sets.

Hope Shines On

This card is for the Hope You Can Cling To challenge theme of "shine". I used the sunshine stamp from Kinda Eclectic with the sentiment from Blooming With Kindness. Paper is non SU, maker unknown, cardstocks are Pink Pirouette, Saffron, and Whisper White.

 

Rocket is my kind of dog, he doesn't mind making the best of a creative messy space as you can see. The mister bottle makes a great pillow and as long as he is curled up at my feet, he is happy.

Hope

 

These cards are for the Hope You Can Cling To card drive for the MT Anderson Cancer Center, organized by Splitcoast. You can find all of the challenge details on their site.

 

The first card is for the paper tole challenge. All supplies are Stampin' Up! Pool Party, Vanilla, and Whisper and Glossy White cardstocks, stamp sets: Hardwood, Let Your Hair Down (sentiment), and Peaceful Petals, Coastal Cabana in color paper pack, pewter embossing powder, and re-inkers. The flower was cut out and layered. The layout is from the Vive la Verve sketch challenge for September.

 

The second challenge was to use a handle of some kind so I used my Tea Shoppe set for the first time. Embossed the cup on Blackberry Bliss with white powder and colored flowers with markers. Hardwood stamp for "table", Whisper White with Lovely Lace embossing folder for wallpaper, Blackberry Bliss ink, ribbon, and cardstock.  

I want my Mummy!

For the Mojo Monday sketch challenge this week I used Stampin' Up!'s Googly Eyes stamp set on a Crumb Cake base with Authentique Halloween paper. The twill tape is retired SU.

Harvest Thanks

It would be awesome if every ingredient that I wanted to use to create what is in my head was available at the same time from Stampin' Up!, but that never seems to be the case. I loved the old SU copper embossing powder and cording, it is so lovely for autumn. I embossed the Seasonally Scattered thanks on the Wood Grain background (top border punch is Martha Stewart), and used the Fall Fest pumpkins and Fall Fun dies in Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, and Tangerine Tango. Very Vanilla base.  

 

Soft Sky and Sequins

Cheerful Christmas on Soft Sky cardstock with new embossing folder and Frosted Sequins. Embossed with pewter powder.

Elegant Bird Ornament

The Bigz die Elegant Bird (Had to have it and never used it until today :) in Real Red with Cheerful Christmas embossed in white. Punched a hole and used silver cross stitch thread to hang. 

 

Halloween Wreath

A super simple Halloween project using a styrofoam wreath ($5 at Joann's), spider on web ($6 Joann's) and two lengths of Halloween tinsel garland from Wal-Mart ($2.44 each). The lights reflect very nicely from the pumpkins and it looks better in real life.

Googly Ghouls

All Stampin' Up! Googly Ghouls stamp set with old spider wheel on Pear Pizzazz cardstock with a Blackberry Bliss scalloped edge accent, Saffron banner and googly eyes.

Scattered Bliss

Stampin' Up! Seasonally Scattered in Blackberry Bliss (ink, cardstock, and ribbon). Added some small flowers from Hello There in Strawberry Slush. Scallop edge embossing strip folder for edges and min silver brads for flower centers. All current SU.

 

All Is Calm Washi

 

Today I am working with the new washi tape All Is Calm from the mini catalog. I used some tea lights and easily covered them with the tape and packaged in a cello bag with the Holiday Home set, Top Note die, and Frosted Sequins. The cello bag is a recycle, one of the die sets came in this bag and worked just fine for this.

Merry Mojo

For the Mojo Monday sketch challenge I used all Stampin' Up! supplies. Nordic Noel paper with Pool Party, Real Red, and Whisper White cardstocks, Perfect Punches with scallop punch for sentiment and the new Real Red ribbon from the holiday mini catalog.

Toxic Treats

A quick little Halloween treat holder using Stampin' Up!'s Toxic Treats stamp set, retired paper. Tin from Trader Joe's.

Turkey Thanks

Looking forward to working with the new set Seasonally Scattered. Love the sentiments. This one uses Blackberry Bliss ink and the new embossing folder from the holiday mini along with the feather set and coordinating dies. The funky looking turkey was made using the owl punch.

Good Witch or Bad Witch?

Ruby Red Slippers! I used Stampin' Up's retired Romantic Red glitter on the one pair of shoes from the new holiday mini set Tee Hee Hee. All supplies are SU, some retired since I haven't bought any of the new Halloween paper yet. 

Pumpkins!!

A pretty simple card using the new large polka dots embossing folder, little faces from the Holiday Home set stamped in the middle of each circle, black baker's twine, Chalk Talk framelits die, Fall Fest pumpkin. Trick or Treat sentiment is from the retired Holiday Best set, one I love and will never part with. I love the fonts on these. All Stampin' Up!  

Halloween Home

Stampin' Up! Holiday Home stamp set colored in markers with some retired designer paper, Real Red, Olive, and Tangerine cardstocks. 

Watercolor Leaves

Stampin' Up! Kinda Eclectic stamp set stamped in various fall colors and then lightly spritzed with water before stamping onto watercolor paper. For the Curtain Call Lovely Leaves challenge.

Nordic Noel

Stampin' Up! supplies: Nordic Noel paper, Holiday Home stamp set and coordinating dies, Soft Sky, Garden Green, and Whisper White cardstocks, markers, chalk marker pen, rosette made with the same designer paper and I added a vintage button from my jar (not SU). This is for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. 

Witchy Washy

This is a new holiday mini set called Tee Hee Hee. I drew a washline and stamped the top of the broom in Soft Suede (stamped off for the lighter color) for the grass, tore some paper and sponged along the edges with Soft Sky ink. Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry inks and cardstocks.

Treat Holder

I took apart a French fry box from McDonald's and made a template for this project. Supplies used were Authentique paper pack, Stampin' Up! Holiday Best sentiment, ribbon, and gold brads, bird punch from Martha Stewart. Oval dies are Spellbinders.  

Kinda Eclectic

I finally ordered the Kinda Eclectic set, I've had my eye on this one since I got the new SU catalog. It is SO versatile and the butterflies match the punches that I love so much.
