Birdhouse Welcome
Today's color challenge on SCS really had me stuck for quite a while. Basic Gray, So Saffron, and Bermuda Bay... I wasn't certain which color I wanted to use as the predominant one. My usual strategy in tackling a color challenge is to find a piece of designer paper with one, some, or all of those colors in it and go from there. I found this leaf print from Autumn Meadows so then started thinking along the lines of a Nature card. I have really been into birds and birdhouses lately and fell in love with the digital image from Firecracker Designs By Pamela. I colored it in Copics using today's challenge colors. I hope you like it, it seemed so springy to me.

Wishniks
Today's SCS challenge was called Childhood Memories.
When I was a kid I had quite the obsession for collecting Wishnik Trolls. The large troll on the end with the red hair is the only thing that I have left from my childhood (other than my game of Clue). I remember standing in line with my father holding my hand at the Provident Bank in Willingboro, NJ where they were giving away these trolls if you opened an account there. I must have been about 5 at the time. The troll was a pirate with a red and white striped shirt, an earring, and an eye patch. Don't know where they went to over the years. The other little trolls I got on ebay, I guess I must be "vintage" too because that is how these are listed :)
The troll stamp is by Inkadinkado, paper Craft Secrets, cardstock SU of Purely Pomegranate and Bermuda Bay with Bermuda Bay polka dot ribbon. Sketch is Mojo Monday 131.

Asian Artistry
Today's Featured Stamper on SCS is the the very artistic Cathy (Mutnik). She sure knows how to make a scene!
My card is a case of one of hers, I changed the stamps used but kept the layout and colors. This one uses all Stampin' Up supplies: Asian Artistry ( a level 2 hostess set), cardstock of Real Red, Brushed Gold, Basic Black, and Whisper White. Embossing done with Versamark and gold embossing powder. I also stamped the same blossom branch in Versamark on the black panel on the other corners but you really can't see it in this photo.

Fifth Avenue Floral
All supplies are current Stampin' Up.
For this week's color combination of Razzleberry, Orchid, and Olive. I used the Lovely Flower (level 3) hostess paper with the Razzle Dazzle paper. For the rose, Fifth Avenue Floral embossed in black on Shimmery White cardstock and then used the re-inker technique with Orchid Opulence.
For re-inker technique, I used Shimmery White cardstock, embossed rose using black powder. Spritz cardstock with water and add some color by dipping Aquapainter into re-inker and then onto wet cardstock, it will pool and run the color. While the cardstock was still damp, I crumbled up the flower and then straightened it back out to give it a rose's true texture. It looks very cool up close.
Well Scripted sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink on the Sizzlits Lots Of Tags diecuts.

My favorite part of the Easter basket was always the beautifully decorated coconut egg (sometimes we got our names on them). Sweet Treat Carrot
I was throwing away the packaging from my Tombo adhesive refill and noticed that the plastic looked a little like a carrot. Hmm...I made a sweet treat cup out of this and filled it with Reese's Pieces and added some Olive polytwill ribbon for top. The white cardstock was run through the Big Shot using the SU Eyelet Texturz plate after having been stamped with the retired Spring Gifts bunny and a sentiment. Matted to Only Orange and Old Olive card base.

Free Standing Pop Up Card
All supplies are Stampin' Up.
I was still in a daffodil mood when I made this card. I spent the morning planting some daffodils, primrose, lavender, and tulips. What fun to get back in the garden again!
The image and sentiment are from the new Abundant Hope set colored in markers. The Celery base was wheeled with Old Olive ink and the It's Beautiful wheel. I highlighted certain areas with the white gel pen, added some lovely olive satin ribbon that is currently available in the Occasions mini and made some flowers using the Sizzlits Birds & Blooms die in Summer Sun and Only Orange with a More Mustard brad center.

Travel Games Box
This will be a great item to take on long road trips and vacations. I used a garage sale find cigar box and used Stampin' Up's Game Night paper and some letter tiles I had in my embellishments stash. The "chess and checkerboard" sheet of designer paper will easily be folded up and put into the box for later game play. It is the perfect size! You can fill this with all kinds of miscellaneous game pieces. For this I have included the "board", dice, Yahtzee score cards, timer, pencil, checkers, playing cards.

2-step Bird Punch
I love this punch! I cut a card into a birdhouse shape and stamped it with the retired Weathered background stamp in Artichoke and sponged edges in Mellow Moss. You could use the current Woodgrain bg stamp but I don't have that one yet.
Other punches used: Scallop border in Artichoke, 1 3/4" circle in Basic Gray, 2-step bird in Crushed Curry (stamped with Priceless swirl), leaves in Artichoke, Three Flower Punch in white with artichoke brads. The card opens from the side, fold is on the left.
