Chipboard
All supplies are Stampin' Up. I covered the chipboard square and scallop circle with Kaleidoscope paper and cut out one of the flowers from this paper also. I popped this up on a dimensional and added a Soft Subtles brad. Whisper White panel was embossed with the dot folder and Playground button used with white taffeta ribbon.

Swiss Cheese
I pierced so many holes in this card it is like Swiss Cheese. I just couldn't stop once I got started, sorry. Polka dot paper is retired SU Night and Day specialty along with Real Red, Basic Black, and Whisper White. The stamp set is the soon to be released Elements Of Style, this time I used the swirl and the bird from the set.
Bye Bye Blush Blossom
This is the one color that I will be the most sad to see go and plan on stocking up.
I used the new Elements of Style set stamped in Basic Brown on Very Vanilla. I added the color with the pastel chalks which is a super quick way to color this image. Close To Cocoa also used along with vanilla taffeta ribbon and the scallop border punch. I stamped the inside too, I have been trying to complete the inside of cards lately. Maybe this will help me when it comes to actually getting them mailed out on time but who knows?

Daisy Day
Today's SCS teapot inspiration was also combined with the color challenge. At first I thought I didn't have any daisy images so probably wouldn't be able to play. And then I began to think Say What??? If I can't come up with something that looks like a daisy out of this room full of stamping stuff, something is wrong. Now I can't think of anything but daisies and all of the things I own that would absolutely work. Hopefully I will get a few of these ideas on to paper to share with you.
This is my first thought from just looking at what was on my desk (the Something Sweet set and sweet treat cups). I filled the cup with all of the yellow Reese's Pieces and ate the rest. I used the handle from the baby rattle stamp as the petals, embossed in white. The rest of the card uses today's colors of Banana, Olive, and Ballet Blue along with some retired designer paper and the ladybug from Because of You.

Emerging Color Technique
Three easy steps to a great technique that looks layered.
1. Stamps images using a solid image stamp (not an outline type).
2. Emboss a solid shape in Versamark and clear powder (I used an oval).
3. Brayer over entire panel in a lighter, coordinating color. Wipe off ink from embossed surface.
Complete your card!
I used Whisper White as my base, Vintage Vogue images in Ruby Red, Tangerine, and Dusty Durango. Well Scripted sentiment in black. Non SU oval image (from the dollar bin at my local Stamp store). Brayered Groovy Guava over entire image. Main card base is Dusty Durango.

Watering Can Fairy
I love this little fairy set available in May from Stampin' Up. It's wonderful for spring, gardeners, all occasion and on and on. Colored the fairy in markers, added Dazzling Diamonds to wings. Popped sentiment out on dimensionals (Modern Label punch). Designer paper is Kaleidoscope.
The watering can template can be found on Splitcoaststampers in the Resources section.

More VSN...
This challenge was to incorporate popped up flowers on your card. I cut out some of the carnation parts and popped them up in layers for added dimension. This is a Sneak Peek set from Mark's Finest Papers and is really awesome, I love all of the images and sentiments in this one. The paper is Patterns Pack II (retired SU) and this layout is my favorite "Go To" sketch that I always love to use. I just cut two different panels for behind the main image out of 2" x 4" different designer papers.
This challenge called for a baby card so I used this cute Sweet Pea set from The Angel Company with Basic Grey designer paper.

It's Virtual Stamp Night!!
This challenge was to be inspired by rain and add an element that signified water in some way. I added crystal dew drops to each tulip. Image by Inkadinkado colored in markers, sentiment by Verve, paper and cardstock by SU.
Here is my first card for VSN.
The challenge is a monochromatic baby card, I used all Stampin' Up retired goodies. Bundle Of Joy set with Pretty In Pink base and designer paper. For the blankie, I cut a square of felt and stamped a little flower in Regal Rose craft ink and popped the bear out on dimensionals.

Birthday Butterflies
I was so happy to have won a new stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers new release blog hop. This set is coming out in May and is a wonderful collection of sentiments, ladybugs, butterflies, and a gorgeous carnation. Love all of the images!
For this card I used the butterfly and birthday sentiment from that set and the silhouette berries from SU's Autumn Days with Basic Grey's Figgy paper.

Tropical Party Aloha
Wanted
I was a bit short on time today so I combined three challenges. For the wacky fun of the Tuesday Teapot challenges we were off to the races so I used the horse from the Wanted set and the swirl from the new Elements Of Style. Our color challenge was for Apricot (the buttons are apricot but look a bit orange-y) Sage Shadow, and Basic Gray. The designer paper is retired from back in the day of Carte Postale. Don't know the name of it but it is SU. The third challenge was Mojo Monday's sketch.

Embellished with pink taffeta ribbon and some Pretties Kit pearls and bead secured with white crochet thread.

Red, White, & Blue jumbo wheel
I used the new Red, White, & Blue jumbo wheel by SU available soon in the Summer Mini, embossed in clear on Whisper White. Also used Something Sweet set and sweet treat cups. Colors that will be staying in the new catalog of Not Quite Navy and Real Red. Mixed red M&M's with blue and white York peppermint pieces for inside treat cup. A very tasty mix :)
New SU Color and paper
The yellow scallop is the new SU color Daffodil Delight. It is a softer, more buttery shade than the retiring Yoyo Yellow. The pumpkin polka dot paper is from the summer mini, the other paper is Kaleidoscope. Pumpkin Pie card base. The image is from the sweet new fairy set called A Little Bit Of Magic, colored in markers and Dazzling Diamonds added for wings. White taffeta ribbon and non SU crochet thread with Playground button to embellish. This new set is two fairy images, a bit of stardust and one sentiment. Very cute!!
the sketch is this week's Card Patterns Sketch #60.

A Little Bit of Magic
This is one of the new SU sets from the Summer mini, A Little Bit Of Magic. Colored image in markers and used today's technique of the "out of the box" framing. Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black, and Kraft cardstocks also used. Log Cabin and Gold Smooch Spritzes were also used on the embossed Kraft cardstock.
About the Smooch Spritzes...
These sprays come in four colors~ Log Cabin, Gold Glow, Silver Foil, and Vanilla Shimmer. Just spritz onto your cardstock for a shimmery splatter. You may want to take a few practice sprays onto a scrap piece first, unlike me who sprayed first and thought second. I wanted it a bit lighter but it's okay this way too. I sprayed mine outside. Stampin' Up will also have a cardboard shield for use indoors because this can get messy. If the spray tip should clog, just run under warm water.
Love this product and can't wait to play around with it a bit more!!

Elements Of Style
A quick card to try out the new colors of Cherry Cobbler- an absolutely gorgeous red that is somewhere between Riding Hood Red and a cranberry/burgundy. The Espresso is a darker brown than Chocolate Chip. Very pretty together.
I stamped the background swirl in Cranberry for now and shaded my flowers with pastel chalks in a dark and light pink with an apricot center. This makes really quick work of coloring the blossoms and looks prettier in real life. It was hard to get it right in the photo.

I LOVE this new set from Stampin' Up which will be available very soon in the Summer Mini. It is right up my alley and I know I will get tons of use out if this one!
I colored the main oval image in markers and used cardstocks of Blush Blossom, Cameo Coral, and Ruby Red. (Three colors that I really love that will be retiring with the new catalog in July.) Pretties Kit stick pin with Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon to embellish.

Summer By The Sea
I just returned from the Jersey Shore last night from visiting my family. I made this card because it reminded me of my son playing on the beach when he was small and it was also for the Inspiration Challenge on SCS.
Stamps: SU Summer By The Sea and Stipple Shells (stamped in caramel on bottom and Cool Caribbean on top). Image colored in markers with some retired hodgepodge hardware and linen thread to embellish.
Fashion Statements
I cased this dressing room idea from today's Featured Stamper on SCS. I made a few changes to Pat's original design. I used the Fashion Statements set by SU (retired) for the armoire and the dress, Flower For All Seasons for sunflower picture, Raspberry Tart paper on a Close To Cocoa base. Rug is the Nestabilities Fleur de Lis die. The paper folded chair can be adapted in size to fit doll houses or cards and you can find the easy tutorial here on you tube:

Fifth Avenue Floral
Another pretty selection from Stampin' Up's promotion is Fifth Avenue Floral. For this sample I used the Top Note die, cutting the black and silver layers by hand. This was embossed using the Manhattan Flower folder. Pretty In Pink cardstock was used to make the rose that was embossed in silver and then spritzed with water, re-inker in Pretty In Pink and aquapainter used to highlight the flower. Pink satin ribbon from the Occasions mini (will also be featured in the upcoming Summer mini catalog).

Greenhouse Garden Batik Technique
I wanted to use this set again, this time going for a much softer look. The Batik technique is quite easy if you want to give it a try.
On Whisper White cardstock I stamped the flower and stem images in Versamark and then heat embossed in clear embossing powder. Spritz the card front with water and then randomly sponge on color. I used Soft Subtles (Pink, Apricot, Bashful Blue, celery, lavender). Sandwich this cardstock piece between two sheets of paper and then iron on a medium setting. Peel back paper, this will lift off the embossing and give you a nice soft, blended effect. Experiment! I've seen this done with bold, darker colors and it looks great also.

Greenhouse Garden Celebrate
Greenhouse Garden is another two-step stamping set available at 20% off this month through Stampin' Up. I love the realistic look of these flowers, a classic keeper to be sure.
I used all of the current in colors on Whisper White for the flower stamping. It was a real eye popper so I softened up the look and feel of it by making a vellum card base/overlay. It is adhered behind the sentiment and the teeniest little dabs of adhesive at each corner.
Sentiment is from Celebrate Everything set.

Trendy Trees
For the month of April Stampin' Up has a promotion for 20% off of selected Two-Step stamping floral sets. In the coming week I will be sharing some sample ideas using some of these sets. Hope you like them!
This card used Trendy Trees on Kraft cardstock. Miscellaneous supplies are scallop square and 1 1/4" square punches, corner rounder, flower brads, linen thread, dimensionals, and sentiment from Season Of Friendship.
